Ho il piacere di annunciarvi che oggi prende il via la nuova rubrica che ho deciso di chiamare “A caccia di storie”.

Vi porterò nei laboratori artigianali del nostro Paese per farvi scoprire tutte quelle meravigliose realtà di cui disponiamo, portate avanti con fervente passione e maestria.

In un momento storico in cui le botteghe artigiane condotte con sapienza, dedizione e coraggio rischiano di scomparire soffocate dalle industrie sempre più spersonalizzate, mi metto in gioco raccontando le storie di chi non si arrende e continua a portare avanti antichi mestieri o se ne inventa di nuovi.

Scultori, mosaicisti, pittori ma anche calzolai, orafi con un grande talento, mastri vetrai, liutai, calligrafi, ceramisti, sarti, fabbri, tappezzieri, restauratori e chi più ne ha più ne metta.

L’arte di far bene ci contraddistingue e l’Italia è piena di storie di artigianato che vale la pena conoscere e approfondire.

Secondo le stime di Confcommercio sono un milione e 500 mila gli imprenditori artigiani presenti in Italia. Perché dunque non divulgare la loro maestria e raccontare le loro storie?

C’è chi ha iniziato la propria impresa in piena autonomia con tanta volontà di far bene e chi ha ereditato il mestiere di generazione in generazione. C’è chi esporta da anni i propri manufatti in giro per il mondo e chi magari ha intrapreso il proprio lavoro da poco tempo e vorrebbe arrivare a un pubblico maggiore.

Nella rubrica vi porterò alla scoperta di volti, storie e attività. Pronti per partire ala volta di questa nuova avventura?

Hunting for stories: hands, heads and hearts of Italian artisans

I am pleased to announce that today a new column is starting which, as you may have already noticed, I have decided to call “Hunting for stories”.

I will take you to the artisan workshops of our country to let you discover all the wonderful realities we have, carried out with fervent passion and skill.

In a historical moment in which the artisan workshops run with wisdom, dedication and courage risk disappearing suffocated by increasingly depersonalized industries, I put myself on the line by telling the stories of those who do not give up and continue to carry on ancient crafts or invent new ones new.
