Berthe Morisot: in arrivo la mostra della pittrice impressionista a Torino
Nell’anno in cui si celebra l’Impressionismo, sta per arrivare la mostra “Berthe Morisot. Pittrice impressionista” alla Galleria Civica d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Torino.
Sarà una mostra volta a celebrare la storia e il percorso artistico seguito dall’unica donna che fece parte dei fondatori del movimento impressionista.
L’esposizione è organizzata e promossa da 24 ORE Cultura – Gruppo 24 ORE, Fondazione Torino Musei e GAM Torino ed è curata da Maria Teresa Benedetti e Giulia Perin, in collaborazione con il Musée Marmottan Monet di Parigi che vanta la più grande raccolta di opere di Berthe Morisot da cui provengono importanti dipinti.
La consulenza scientifica sarà affidata a Sylvie Patry, tra i maggiori esperti internazionali di Morisot.
Il percorso espositivo metterà in luce il legame di Morisot con la poetica del movimento facendo emergere il suo stile del tutto personale. Berthe Morisot (1841-1895) fu una delle pioniere del movimento impressionista, dominato prevalentemente da uomini. La sua arte, caratterizzata da pennellate fluide, composizioni luminose e una sensibile attenzione alla luce e all’atmosfera, catturò l’essenza della vita quotidiana e delle attività ricreative dell’epoca.
Pur condividendo i principi fondamentali dell’Impressionismo con i colleghi, l’opera di Morisot aveva alle spalle un maggior numero di disegni preparatori necessari per poi migliorare la resa dei dettagli.
Attraverso una selezione di opere, tra celebri dipinti e incisioni provenienti da prestigiose istituzioni pubbliche, tra cui, oltre al Musée Marmottan Monet di Parigi, il Musée d’Orsay di Parigi, il Musée des Beaux-Arts di Pau, il Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza di Madrid, il Musée d’Ixelles di Bruxelles, l’Institut National d’Histoire de l’Art (INHA) di Parigi e importanti collezioni private, la mostra ripercorrerà vita e la carriera di Berthe Morisot: dagli esordi connessi al sodalizio artistico e umano con Édouard Manet fino alla piena adesione alla poetica impressionista.
La mostra aprirà i battenti dal 16 ottobre 2024 al 9 marzo 2025.

Berthe Morisot: the impressionist painter’s exhibition is coming to Turin
In the year in which Impressionism is celebrated, the exhibition “Berthe Morisot. Impressionist painter” at the Civic Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Turin.
It will be an exhibition aimed at celebrating the history and artistic path followed by the only woman who was part of the founders of the impressionist movement.
The exhibition is organized and promoted by 24 ORE Cultura – Gruppo 24 ORE, Fondazione Torino Musei and GAM Torino and is curated by Maria Teresa Benedetti and Giulia Perin, in collaboration with the Musée Marmottan Monet in Paris which boasts the largest collection of works by Berthe Morisot from which important paintings come.
Scientific consultancy will be entrusted to Sylvie Patry, one of Morisot’s leading international experts.
The exhibition itinerary will highlight Morisot’s link with the poetics of the movement, bringing out her entirely personal style. Berthe Morisot (1841-1895) was one of the pioneers of the impressionist movement, dominated predominantly by men. Her art, characterized by fluid brushstrokes, luminous compositions and a sensitive attention to light and atmosphere, captured the essence of daily life and recreational activities of the time.
While sharing the fundamental principles of Impressionism with his colleagues, Morisot’s work had behind it a greater number of preparatory drawings necessary to then improve the rendering of the details.
Through a selection of works, including famous paintings and engravings from prestigious public institutions, including, in addition to the Musée Marmottan Monet in Paris, the Musée d’Orsay in Paris, the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Pau, the Museo Nacional Thyssen- Bornemisza in Madrid, the Musée d’Ixelles in Brussels, the Institut National d’Histoire de l’Art (INHA) in Paris and important private collections, the exhibition will retrace the life and career of Berthe Morisot: from the beginnings connected to the artistic association and human with Édouard Manet until his full adherence to impressionist poetics.
The exhibition will open from 16 October 2024 to 9 March 2025.
