Navigando per la rete tempo fa trovai un interessante sito che metteva a disposizione gratuitamente un gran numero di dipinti fotografati ad alta definizione. Poi col tempo mi son dimenticato della sua esistenza e nemmeno più son tornato a visitarlo questo luogo virtuale.

Pochi giorni fa m’ha ricordato della sua esistenza un amico e con piacere ve lo presento…non l’amico, il sito. Si chiama Haltadefinizione e potete collegarvici cliccando direttamente QUI. Consente di vedere numerosi dipinti come ad esempio il mio amato Tondo Doni con un’elevata risoluzione. ingrandendo l’immagine potete vedere particolari a distanza molto ravvicinata, in maniera netta e precisa.

Un modo interessante per esplorare ogni centimetro di tele e tavole…cosa che non è consentito fare dal vero nei musei perché alcune opere, in genere quelle più note, si trovano a distanza di sicurezza, protette da un vetro anti proiettili. Sulla faccenda della protezione delle opere son d’accordo, sia chiaro…non mi fraintendete. Di contro però hanno lo svantaggio di non potersi avvicinare come si vorrebbe fare. Con queste foto in altissima risoluzione si può aggirare facilmente l’ostacolo.

Ad esempio, cliccando QUA potrete ammirare il Tondo Doni in tutta la sua interezza e ingrandire tutte le sezioni che desiderate in maniera seplice e intuitiva. Stessa cosa vale per tanti altri affreschi e dipinti come l’Ultima Cena di Leonardo da Vinci o la grandiosa Cappella degli Scrovegni affrescata da Giotto. Browsing the network some time ago I found an interesting site that made available for free a large number of paintings photographed in high definition. Then over time I forgot his existence and even more I returned to visit this virtual place.

A few days ago reminded me of his existence a friend and with pleasure I present it to you … not the friend, the site. It’s called Haltadefinition and you can connect by clicking directly HERE. It allows you to see numerous paintings such as my beloved Tondo Doni with a high resolution. Enlarging the image you can see details at a very close distance, in a clear and precise way.

An interesting way to explore every inch of canvases and tables … something that is not allowed to do in museums because some works, usually the best known, are at a safe distance, protected by a bulletproof glass. On the subject of the protection of the works I agree, be clear … do not misunderstand me. On the other hand, they have the disadvantage of not being able to approach as you would like to do.
