Che Natale sarebbe senza presepe?

A Jesolo, da 22 anni a questa parte, viene realizzato con la sabbia, un materiale effimero che però può essere usato per dar forma a vere e proprie opere d’arte mediante l’ingegno e la maestria di artisti provenienti da ogni angolo del mondo

Quest’anno, lo stupefacente presepe di sabbia, ha come tema centrale il motto “Fratelli tutti”. Di fatto è il titolo dell’enciclica promulgata da papa Francesco il 3 ottobre 2020, sull’altare della basilica di San Francesco ad Assisi che lo scorso inverno ospitò proprio la grande natività realizzata con la sabbia di Jesolo.

Il presepe di sabbia vuole lanciare un forte messaggio di fratellanza, pace e dialogo interreligioso e rimarrà visibile al pubblico fino al 9 gennaio 2025.

“Questa parabola è un’icona illuminante – scrive il Santo Padre in “Fratelli tutti”- davanti a tanto dolore, a tante ferite, l’unica via di uscita è essere come il buon samaritano. Ogni altra scelta conduce dalla parte dei briganti, oppure di quella di coloro che passano accanto senza avere compassione”.

Dovete sapere che il Presepe di Sabbia di Jesolo, a partire dal 2004, viene associato a numerosi progetti benefici. Le offerte che ogni anno vengono lasciate dai visitatori, consentono infatti di sostenere associazioni con fini umanitari e fino al momento, in venti anni, è stato raccolto oltre un milione di euro, devoluti per scopi umanitari.

Il presepe Fratelli Tutti è stato realizzato sotto la direzione artistica dell’artista canadese David Dicharme e hanno collaborato alla sua esecuzione creativi provenienti dall’Ucraina, dall’Olanda, dal Regno Unito, dall’Italia e da altri paesi.

The Works of Christmas: the Sand Nativity Scene of Jesolo

What would Christmas be without a nativity scene? In Jesolo, for 22 years now, it has been made with sand, an ephemeral material that can however be used to give shape to real works of art through the ingenuity and mastery of artists from every corner of the world

This year the amazing sand nativity scene has as its central theme the motto “Fratelli tutti”. In fact, it is the title of the encyclical promulgated by Pope Francis on October 3, 2020, on the altar of the Basilica of San Francesco in Assisi which last winter hosted the great nativity scene made with the sand of Jesolo.

The sand nativity scene wants to send a strong message of brotherhood, peace and interreligious dialogue and will remain visible to the public until January 9, 2025.

“This parable is an illuminating icon,” writes the Holy Father in “Fratelli tutti”- “in the face of so much pain, so many wounds, the only way out is to be like the good Samaritan. Every other choice leads to the side of the brigands, or that of those who pass by without compassion.”

You should know that the Sand Nativity Scene of Jesolo, since 2004, has been associated with numerous charitable projects. The offerings that are left every year by visitors, in fact, allow us to support associations with humanitarian purposes and up to now, in twenty years, over a million euros have been collected, donated for humanitarian purposes.

The Fratelli Tutti sand nativity scene was created under the artistic direction of the Canadian artist David Dicharme and creatives from Ukraine, Holland, the United Kingdom, Italy and other countries have collaborated in its execution.
