White Carrara Downton, la fiera diffusa che è arrivata alla terza edizione, ogni anno arricchisce le sue proposte con cose diverse.

Cosa sarà possibile fare, vedere, degustare e scoprire durante White Carrara Downtown?

Per tutta la durata dell’evento, ovvero dal 1 al 9 giugno, ci sarà l’opportunità di partecipare a diverse tipologie di tour guidati come quello che salendo a bordo di un 4X4 vi porterà a scoprire da vicino le cave di marmo candido. Siete mai stati in un laboratorio di scultura? Ebbene, partecipate al tour che vi farà conoscere quelli più suggestivi e alla fine avrete anche la possibilità di mettervi alla prova con scalpello e martello.

Non mancheranno i percorsi di cicloturismo e il trekking urbano per approfondire la conoscenza della storia e dei luoghi più nascosti del centro storico.

Tornerà il Marble Caffè, la rassegna colturale che vedrà avvicendarsi sul palco allestito davanti al Teatro degli Animosi volti noti come Gabbani, Haber e Boosta solo per citarne alcuni.

Una città non si finisce mai di scoprire e Carrara non fa eccezione alla regola. Non si può dire di essere entrati appieno nelle sue atmosfere così particolari se prima non ci si è seduti a tavola e degustato almeno alcuni dei piatti e dei prodotti tipici. Con Il Marmo è Servito potrete prender parte a un vero e proprio tour enogastronomico con menù studiati ad hoc, ispirati al marmo.

Per chi ama la scultura come me, Carrara ha molto da offrire. L’Accademia di Belle Arti assieme al comune, organizzeranno lezioni en plain air di scultura a mano a cui parteciperanno gli studenti dell’Accademia e gli avventori avranno la possibilità di scolpire sotto l’attenta guida degli insegnanti.

Nel centro storico verranno aperti showroom a tema marmo nei quali artisti e artigiani metteranno in mostra i loro prodotti e le loro creazioni artistiche realizzate a Carrara. Non sono poche le gallerie d’arte che apriranno le porte ai visitatori con mostre temporanee allestite per l’evento in corso.

Acquistando un biglietto cumulativo si avrà l’accesso garantito ai musei civici della città ovvero al Museo del Marmo, al Centro di Arti Plastiche e al Museo Carrara e Michelangelo. Ah già, dimenticavo, potrete anche visitare accompagnati da una guida appassionata l’Accademia di Belle Arti che da 250 anni continua a formare gli artisti di domani.

Per chi ancora non conosce Carrara, White Carrara Downtown è l’occasione per scoprire un territorio molto particolare, talvolta non così conosciuto come meriterebbe di essere. Nowadays very few days are left to the great event that will have Carrara as its protagonist and all it has to offer both to those who already know it and to those who will see it for the first time. White Carrara Downton, the widespread fair that has reached its third edition, every year enriches its proposals with different things.

What will it be possible to do, see, taste and discover during White Carrara Downtown?

For the entire duration of the event, that is from 1 to 9 June, there will be the opportunity to participate in different types of guided tours such as the one climbing aboard a 4X4 will lead you to discover the white marble quarries up close. Have you ever been to a sculpture workshop? Well, join the tour that will introduce you to the most evocative ones and in the end you will also have the chance to test yourself with a chisel and hammer.

There will be cycling routes and urban trekking to learn more about history and the most hidden places in the historic center.

Marble Caffè will be back, the crop show that will see famous faces such as Gabbani, Haber and Boosta on stage set up in front of the Animosi Theater just to name a few.

A city never stops discovering and Carrara is no exception to the rule. We cannot say that we have entered fully into its particular atmospheres if we did not sit at the table before and tasted at least some of the typical dishes and products. With Il Marmo è Servito you can take part in a real food and wine tour with specially designed menus inspired by marble.

For those who love sculpture like me, Carrara has a lot to offer. The Academy of Fine Arts together with the municipality will organize open-air sculpture lessons by hand, in which the students of the Academy will participate and the patrons will have the possibility to sculpt under the careful guidance of the teachers.

In the historic center, marble-themed showrooms will be opened in which artists and artisans will showcase their products and their artistic creations made in Carrara. Not a few art galleries will open their doors to visitors with temporary exhibitions set up for the current event.

By purchasing a cumulative ticket you will have guaranteed access to the city’s civic museums, namely the Marble Museum, the Plastic Arts Center and the Carrara and Michelangelo Museum. Oh yes, I forgot, you can also visit, accompanied by a passionate guide, the Academy of Fine Arts which for 250 years continues to train the artists of tomorrow.
