L’apertura solenne della Porta Santa in occasione del Giubileo ordinario 2025 è stata effettuata da papa Francesco due settimane fa, la vigilia di Natale.

Da quel momento a oggi sono già stati 545.532 i pellegrini provenienti da tutto il mondo che l’hanno attraversata.

“Si tratta di un inizio molto significativo, con una grande affluenza di popolo. I gruppi che affollano via della Conciliazione stanno dando una testimonianza importante, e questo è segno anche della grande percezione di sicurezza e protezione che i pellegrini sperimentano nella città di Roma e nei paraggi delle quattro Basiliche papali”.

I primi giorni sono stati intensi e visto i dati raccolti fino al momento, si prevede un aumento dell’affluenza dei pellegrini che potrebbe arrivare al culmine durante il periodo pasquale.
