I’ll take you to the Mariani Artistic Foundry: excellence in Pietrasanta
If you’ve never been inside an artistic foundry, I’ll take you there by making you tiptoe into the Mariani Artistic Foundry, one of the jewels in the crown of Pietrasanta.
The artisan company is known throughout the world for the works it creates, in collaboration with the greatest artists.
Some names from the present and the past who have availed themselves of the professionalism and expertise of the foundry in question? Mitoraj, Vangi, Botero, Dashi Namdakov, DeJager, Gustavo Aceves, Milo Manara, Daphne Dubarry and many others.
The art of bronze casting has ancient origins but continues to fascinate entire generations. Think of the large bronze works that decorate squares and streets or the smaller castings. Each sculpture presents specific difficulties in being made and only those who have worked there for years can tell you about it.
My alter ego Antonietta Bandelloni had the opportunity to interview Nicola Agolini, one of the owners of the historic Fonderia Mariani in Pietrasanta.
I invite you to read it on the online magazine L’Ordinario: click HERE.
For the moment, your always Michelangelo Buonarroti bids you farewell, making an appointment with you in the next posts and on social media.
