Il primo nucleo di miei disegni di Casa Buonarroti è disponibile online
La maggior parte dei miei disegni è custodita a Casa Buonarroti, a Firenze. La carta però è un supporto fragile e per ovvie ragioni conservative vengono esposti a piccoli nuclei, a rotazione.
La deperibilità del supporto cartaceo, delle matite e degli inchiostri particolarmente sensibili agli effetti deleteri della luce e delle variazioni di temperatura, impediscono l’esposizione permanente degli stessi.
Devono essere dunque conservati per gran parte del tempo al buio e in un ambiente caratterizzato da un microclima stabile.
Per poter proporre però al pubblico il prezioso patrimonio cartaceo, Casa Buonarroti ha avviato un progetto di digitalizzazione dei fogli più importanti che riguardano studi di figura e progetti architettonici.
Il primo gruppo di disegni comprensivo di venti venti fogli, molti dei quali con studi o con scritte su entrambi i lati, è ora disponibile in riproduzioni digitali ad altissima risoluzione. I fogli digitalizzati sono stati anche oggetto di una ricerca molto approfondita, i cui risultati sono confluiti in un catalogo online, il cui primo lotto è liberamente accessibile.
Il catalogo online è stato realizzati all’interno del progetto I disegni di Michelangelo. Fruizione, digitalizzazione, valorizzazione (2023 – 2024), sostenuto da Fondazione CR Firenze nell’ambito del bando Valorizzazione Musei, Biblioteche e Archivi – 2023 e da Friends of Florence.

The first group of my drawings of Casa Buonarroti is available online
Most of my drawings are kept at Casa Buonarroti, in Florence. However, paper is a fragile support and for obvious conservative reasons they are exposed to small nuclei, in rotation.
The perishability of the paper support, pencils and inks, which are particularly sensitive to the deleterious effects of light and temperature variations, prevent their permanent exposure.
They must therefore be stored for most of the time in the dark and in an environment characterized by a stable microclimate.
However, in order to be able to offer the precious paper heritage to the public, Casa BUonarroti has started a project to digitize the most important sheets concerning figure studies and architectural projects but also through the open access online catalogue.
The first group of drawings comprising twenty sheets, many of which with studies or writing on both sides, is now available in very high resolution digital reproductions. The digitized sheets were also the subject of very in-depth research, the results of which were merged into an online catalogue, the first batch of which is freely accessible.
The online catalog was created within the Michelangelo’s drawings project. Fruition, digitization, valorization (2023 – 2024), supported by Fondazione CR Firenze as part of the Valorizzazione Musei, Libraries e Archives – 2023 call and by Friends of Florence.
