La scultura del giorno che vi propongo oggi è il Busto Femminile scolpito da Antonio Tantardini nella seconda metà dell’Ottocento.

L’elegante busto in marmo appartiene a una collezione privata e mostra una giovane donna assorta nei suoi pensieri, con lo sguardo rivolto verso il basso.

L’abilità tecnica del Tantardini nello scolpire il marmo di Carrara è apprezzabile soprattutto nei tratti raffinati della giovane, nell’acconciatura dei capelli raccolti sul capo e trattenuti sulla fronte con un nastro.

Osservate la modernità dei gioielli che lo scultore milanese volle scolpire: la collana con un ciondolo a forma di cerchio e gli orecchini che sembrano fatti da un designer contemporaneo.

Altro pezzo di bravura è la camicia che scivola dalle spalle della donna che sembra di vero tessuto pieghettato.

Il busto è firmato sulla base dall’artista con la dicitura ANT.NIO TANTARDINI. MILANO.
