Siete mai stati nella più antica officina farmaceutica d’Europa? Si trova a Firenze, al numero 4 di via della Scala e le sue origini risalgono addirittura al 1221.

Io ci sono stato più di una volta e recentemente sono tornato per raccontare questo luogo incredibile sul magazine L’Ordinario.

Ogni volta che entro lì dentro il tempo rallenta. Affreschi, mobili impregnati di storia e di essenze sorprendenti e decorazioni d’altri tempi.

Si ha l’impressione che da un momento all’altro possa uscire da qualche porta Caterina de’ Medici che alla corte di Francia portò con sé proprio un profumiere di Santa Maria Novella che formulò l’acqua della regina, la stessa che viene prodotta ancora oggi.

A journey through time: the oldest pharmacy in Florence

Have you ever been to the oldest pharmaceutical factory in Europe? It is located in Firenze, at number 4 of Via della Scala and its origins date back to 1221.

Every time I go in there, time slows down. Frescoes, furniture steeped in history and surprising essences and decorations from times gone by.
