La mano fra i versi
Oggi voglio proporvi un foglio non così noto al grande pubblico. Appartiene alle collezioni di Casa Buonarroti e chissà se vi sia capitato di vederlo prima, magari nelle esposizioni a turnazione del cospicuo nucleo di disegni che effettua il museo.
Adoperai in un primo momento il foglio per scrivere dei versi e successivamente sfruttai lo spazio bianco ancora disponibile per tracciare una mano sinistra maschile.
Sia i versi che il disegno pare li realizzai fra il 1525 e il 1530, periodo in cui ero impegnato nella realizzazione della Sagrestia Nuova.
La mano disegnata potrebbe essere uno studio per l’arto sinistro di Giuliano de’ Medici, duca di Nemours, ancora privo del bastone del potere che aggiunsi successivamente.
Probabilmente presi a modello le mie mani così potenti e segnate dal lavoro. Per il momento il vostro Michelangelo Buonarroti vi saluta dandovi appuntamento ai prossimi post e sui social.
The hand between the verses
Today I want to offer you a sheet not so well known to the general public. It belongs to the collections of Casa Buonarroti and who knows if you have ever seen it before, perhaps in the rotating exhibitions of the conspicuous nucleus of drawings that the museum makes.
At first I used the sheet to write some verses and then I used the white space still available to trace a male left hand.
It seems that I created both the verses and the drawing between 1525 and 1530, a period in which I was engaged in the construction of the New Sacristy.
The drawn hand could be a study for the left limb of Giuliano de’ Medici, Duke of Nemours, still without the baton of power that I added later.
I probably took my hands so powerful and marked by work as a model. For the moment, your Michelangelo Buonarroti greets you by making an appointment for the next posts and on social media.
