Psiche allo specchio. Omnia vincit amor in mostra a Modena
Aprirà domani 13 settembre, negli spazi della pinacoteca di Modena della Galleria BPER Banca, la mostra Psiche allo specchio. Omnia vincit amor, curata da Daniela Ferrari, con il Patrocinio del Comune di Modena.
Il progetto espositivo rimarrà visibile fino al 9 febbraio 2025 e apre in concomitanza con il Festival Filosofia, sviluppandosi attorno al tema principale proposto: psiche.
Psiche allo specchio. Omnia vincit amor si pone l’obiettivo di raccontare attraverso sculture e dipinti non solo la favola di Apuleio ma anche di indagare quanto la narrazione antica abbia approfondito con l’arte l’intero spettro delle emozioni umane.
Le opere in mostra attinge al patrimonio artistico della corporate collection di BPER Banca proponendo i dipinti Francesco Albani e bottega, Sisto Badalocchi, Jean Boulanger, Lorenzo De Ferrari, Hendrik Frans van Lint, Lorenzo Pasinelli, Giovanni Battista Paggi, Guido Reni.
Il percorso espositivo include anche alcuni prestiti preziosi come le acqueforti e acquetinte di Max Klinger, i dipinti a olio su tela di François Pascal Simon Gérard e Federico Zandomeneghi, e opere d’arte contemporanea realizzate da Andrea Facco, Omar Galliani e Andrea Mastrovito.
Giocando con le parole e i loro significati plurimi, come specchio, anima, soffio, io, e con i simboli dell’iconografia classica, come la farfalla, la mostra è una sorta di viaggio attraverso le epoche e i linguaggi della storia dell’arte.
Tra le opere più preziose, vale la pena menzionare Giove che dipinge le farfalle, Mercurio e le virtù della prima metà del Cinquecento di Dosso Dossi.

Psyche in the Mirror. Omnia vincit amor on display in Modena
The exhibition Psyche in the Mirror. Omnia vincit amor, curated by Daniela Ferrari, with the patronage of the Municipality of Modena, will open tomorrow, September 13, in the spaces of the Modena art gallery of the BPER Banca Gallery.
The exhibition project will remain visible until February 9, 2025 and opens in conjunction with the Philosophy Festival, developing around the proposed main theme: psyche.
Psyche in the Mirror. Omnia vincit amor aims to tell the tale of Apuleius through sculptures and paintings, but also to investigate how ancient narration has explored the entire spectrum of human emotions through art.
The works on display draw on the artistic heritage of the corporate collection of BPER Banca, proposing the paintings of Francesco Albani and workshop, Sisto Badalocchi, Jean Boulanger, Lorenzo De Ferrari, Hendrik Frans van Lint, Lorenzo Pasinelli, Giovanni Battista Paggi, Guido Reni.
The exhibition itinerary also includes some precious loans such as the etchings and aquatints of Max Klinger, the oil paintings on canvas by François Pascal Simon Gérard and Federico Zandomeneghi, and contemporary works of art created by Andrea Facco, Omar Galliani and Andrea Mastrovito.
Playing with words and their multiple meanings, such as mirror, soul, breath, I, and with the symbols of classical iconography, such as the butterfly, the exhibition is a sort of journey through the eras and languages of the history of art.
Among the most precious works, it is worth mentioning Jupiter painting butterflies, Mercury and the virtues of the first half of the sixteenth century by Dosso Dossi.
