Il 10 agosto, in occasione delle celebrazioni di San Lorenzo, la grande mostra dedicata al mito di Orfeo allestita a Palazzo Medici Riccardi potrà essere visitata in notturna.

Per San Lorenzo, festività a cui i Medici erano particolarmente legati, la Città Metropolitana di Firenze e MUS.E, in collaborazione con l’orchestra La Filharmonie, proporranno ai visitatori un programma speciale all’interno di Palazzo Medici Riccardi, ovvero la storica residenza della famiglia. 

Nella serata del 10 agosto infatti saranno proposti due itinerari eccezionali alla scoperta della mostra L’incanto di Orfeo. Nell’arte di ogni tempo, da Tiziano al contemporaneo, mostra in corso fino all’8 settembre nelle sale terrene del museo.

Sia alle 19 che alle 20.30 sarà possibile prendere parte sia a due visite particolari (prenotazione obbligatoria), che alla narrazione di opere scelte intrecceranno interventi musicali correlati all’incredibile storia di Orfeo, poeta cantore per antonomasia, e della sua amata Euridice.

Il racconto mitologico sarà dipanato sala dopo sala, soffermandosi sulle rappresentazioni visive di alcuni maestri e sarà ulteriormente vivificato grazie a brevi esecuzioni musicali che accentueranno l’intensità di alcuni passaggi, dal canto suadente di Orfeo alla drammatica perdita di Euridice fino alla discesa agli Inferi, al ritorno sulla terra e alla morte. 

L’ingresso alla mostra sarà gratuito per l’occasione mentre l’attività costerà 2 € per i residenti nella Città Metropolitana di Firenze e 4 € per i non residenti.

Le visite guidate di 1 ora e 15 minuti ciascuna – sono a cura di Elisa Stefanini di MUS.E mentre gli interventi musicali sono a cura di Martina Weber de La Filharmonie.

August 10: Nighttime Visits for the Enchantment of Orpheus at Palazzo Medici Riccardi

On August 10, on the occasion of the celebrations of San Lorenzo, the great exhibition dedicated to the myth of Orpheus set up at Palazzo Medici Riccardi can be visited at night.

For San Lorenzo, a holiday to which the Medici were particularly attached, the Metropolitan City of Florence and MUS.E, in collaboration with the orchestra La Filharmonie, will offer visitors a special program inside Palazzo Medici Riccardi, the historic residence of the family.

In fact, on the evening of August 10, two exceptional itineraries will be proposed to discover the exhibition The Enchantment of Orpheus. In the art of all time, from Titian to the contemporary, an exhibition running until September 8 in the ground floor rooms of the museum.

Both at 7 pm and 8:30 pm it will be possible to take part in two special visits (reservation required), which will intertwine the narration of selected works with musical interventions related to the incredible story of Orpheus, the poet-singer par excellence, and his beloved Eurydice.

The mythological tale will be unraveled room after room, focusing on the visual representations of some masters and will be further enlivened thanks to short musical performances that will accentuate the intensity of some passages, from the persuasive song of Orpheus to the dramatic loss of Eurydice up to the descent into the Underworld, the return to earth and death.

Entrance to the exhibition will be free for the occasion while the activity will cost €2 for residents of the Metropolitan City of Florence and €4 for non-residents.

The guided tours of 1 hour and 15 minutes each – are curated by Elisa Stefanini of MUS.E while the musical interventions are curated by Martina Weber of La Filharmonie.
