Roma: visite guidate gratuite sul cantiere di restauro del Vittoriano
Mentre il restauro del Vittoriano a Roma prosegue a gonfie vele, sono state programmate visite al cantiere di restauro del prospetto principale.
Saranno tre le occasioni per vedere da vicino le sculture in fase di restauro. Il 12 luglio, l’8 agosto e il 12 settembre, a partire dalle ore 10.00, chi lo desidera, avrà l’opportunità di salire sui ponteggi per apprezzare con i propri occhi lo stato di avanzamento dei lavori.
Il restauro viene eseguito con il modello oramai che sta andando per la maggiore del cantiere aperto, visibile al pubblico mediante l’utilizzo di una serie di ponteggi che consentono di vedere cosa avviene al loro interno.
Il cantiere è diretto da Edith Gabrielli mentre il restauro delle sculture viene effettato materialmente da Susanna Sarmati grazie al sostegno economico di Bulgari.
Il restauro della fontana del Mar Tirreno di Pietro Canonica è già stato ultimato e adesso si sta procedendo con con i lavori relativi alle sculture del prospetto principale ovvero della fontana in marmo con il mare Adriatico di Emilio Quadrelli, i due gruppi in bronzo dorato del Pensiero di Giulio Monteverde e dell’Azione di Francesco Jerace, alti ciascuno dieci metri, e i pennoni di Gaetano Vannicola con le Vittorie di Edoardo Rubino e Edoardo De Albertis, entrambe opere scultoree sostenute dalla prua che riproduce quella di un’antica nave romana.

Rome: free guided tours of the Vittoriano restoration site
While the restoration of the Vittoriano in Rome continues at full speed, visits to the restoration site of the main façade have been scheduled.
There will be three opportunities to see the sculptures being restored up close. On 12 July, 8 August and 12 September, starting from 10.00 am, anyone who wishes will have the opportunity to climb onto the scaffolding to appreciate with their own eyes the progress of the works.
The restoration is carried out with the model that is now the most popular on the open construction site, visible to the public through the use of a series of scaffolding that allows you to see what is happening inside them.
The construction site is directed by Edith Gabrielli while the restoration of the sculptures is physically carried out by Susanna Sarmati thanks to the financial support of Bulgari.
The fountain of the Tyrrhenian Sea by Pietro Canonica has already been completed and we are now proceeding with the restoration of the sculptures of the main façade or the marble fountain with the Adriatic Sea by Emilio Quadrelli, the two groups in gilded bronze of the Pensiero by Giulio Monteverde and of the Action by Francesco Jerace, each ten meters high, and the flagpoles by Gaetano Vannicola with the Victories of Edoardo Rubino and Edoardo De Albertis, both sculptural works supported by the prow which reproduces that of an ancient Roman ship.
