La testa di Lazzaro
Il disegno che vedete a seguire ha avuto diverse plausibili letture ma forse, chi si è avvicinato di più a comprendere cosa ci fosse dietro, è stato Charles del Tolnay.
Mentre il Wilde in un primo momento lo riconduce a una delle teste degli ingudi della volta della Sistina datandolo fra il 1508 e il 1510, Hartt lo rapportò successivamente allo studio per la testa della Vergine medicea.
Attualmente questa testa viene considerata lo studio per il Lazzaro della Resurrezione stando a quanto affermò anni fa Charles del Tolnay. Il trattamento grafico del disegno è paragonabile ai disegni realizzati dopo gli affreschi per la volta. E’ stato quindi postdatato al 1516-1518 quando Sebastiano del Piombo su disegni miei iniziò a lavorare alla Resurrezione di Lazzaro che oggi si trova alla National Gallery.
Anche il disegno in questione appartiene al medesimo museo londinese. Il sempre vostro Michelangelo Buonarroti con i suoi disegni e le sue considerazioni quotidiane.
Lazarus’s head
The drawing you see below has had several plausible readings but perhaps those who came closer to understanding what was behind it was Charles del Tolnay.
