Alphonse Mucha: un Viaggio nell’Art Nouveau a Palazzo Bonaparte, Roma
Il fascino e la bellezza da oggi arrivano a Roma con la mostra “Alphonse Mucha. Un trionfo di bellezza e seduzione”.
Dall’8 ottobre 2025 a Palazzo Bonaparte oltre 150 opere renderanno omaggio allo charme femminile con la più grande retrospettiva mai dedicata ad Alphonse Mucha, l’artista ceco, padre e maestro indiscusso di uno stile raffinato e sensuale che ha rivoluzionato l’immaginario visivo di ogni tempo.
Il percorso espositivo è un viaggio che ripercorre l’intera opera di Mucha attraverso la proposta di tutti i suoi capolavori, tra i quali la celeberrima Gismonda, Medea. Job, la serie The Stars del 1902 o quella sulle Pietre Preziose del 1900 o ancora gli studi sull’Epopea Slava provenienti dal Mucha Museum di Praga.
In mostra saranno presenti anche opere archeologiche e rinascimentali, passando a capolavori dell’Ottocento con l’eleganza de La contessa De Rasty (1879) di Boldini per giungere finalmente al Novecento con la sontuosa Semiramide (A Babilonia) del 1905 di Saccaggi.
Ad arricchire il percorso anche oggetti d’arredo Art Nouveau e tantissimo altro: un dialogo inedito che illumina Mucha da prospettive nuove, rivelando la continuità dell’ideale di bellezza femminile nel tempo.
La Venere del Botticelli
In mostra sarà presente anche la Venere del Botticelli, dipinta dall’artista fiorentino tra il 1485 e il 1490. L’opera è stata prestata in via del tutto eccezionale dai Musei Reali – Galleria Sabauda di Torino.
A Palazzo Bonaparte, Mucha viene proposto ai visitatori attraverso i celebri manifesti teatrali, pannelli decorativi, calendari e illustrazioni, testimoni di un’epoca in cui l’arte si fondeva con la vita quotidiana e ne impreziosiva ogni gesto.
Mucha ha saputo reinventare l’immagine femminile nell’arte, trasformandola in icona di grazia e forza, protagonista indiscussa di un linguaggio decorativo che ancora oggi ispira moda, grafica e design contemporaneo, fino ad influenzare il mondo dei più moderni tatuaggi.
I suoi celebri manifesti pubblicitari come quelli dedicati a Sarah Bernhardt o ai profumi e ai liquori parigini, trasformarono il linguaggio visivo del suo tempo, anticipando i principi del design moderno.

Alphonse Mucha: A Journey Through Art Nouveau at Palazzo Bonaparte, Rome
Charm and beauty come to Rome today with the exhibition “Alphonse Mucha. A Triumph of Beauty and Seduction.”
From October 8, 2025, at Palazzo Bonaparte, over 150 works will pay homage to feminine charm with the largest retrospective ever dedicated to Alphonse Mucha, the Czech artist, the father and undisputed master of a refined and sensual style that revolutionized the visual imagination of all time.
The exhibition is a journey through Mucha’s entire oeuvre, showcasing all his masterpieces, including the celebrated Gismonda, Medea, Job, the series “The Stars” from 1902, the series “Precious Stones” from 1900, and studies on the Slavic Epic from the Mucha Museum in Prague.
The exhibition will also feature archaeological and Renaissance works, moving on to 19th-century masterpieces with the elegance of Boldini’s The Countess De Rasty (1879), finally arriving at the 20th century with Saccaggi’s sumptuous Semiramis (In Babylon) (1905).
Art Nouveau furnishings and much more will also enrich the exhibition: a unique dialogue that illuminates Mucha from new perspectives, revealing the continuity of the ideal of feminine beauty over time.
Botticelli’s Venus
Also on display will be Botticelli’s Venus, painted by the Florentine artist between 1485 and 1490. The work was exceptionally loaned by the Musei Reali – Galleria Sabauda in Turin.
At Palazzo Bonaparte, Mucha is presented to visitors through his famous theater posters, decorative panels, calendars, and illustrations, witnesses to an era in which art merged with everyday life and embellished every gesture.
Mucha reinvented the female image in art, transforming it into an icon of grace and strength, the undisputed protagonist of a decorative language that still inspires fashion, graphics, and contemporary design, even influencing the world of modern tattoos.
His famous advertising posters, such as those dedicated to Sarah Bernhardt or to Parisian perfumes and liqueurs, transformed the visual language of his time, anticipating the principles of modern design.
