Il Duomo di Siena propone per la prima volta un percorso suggestivo durante le prime luci del giorno, accompagnati da una guida d’eccezione: il Clavigero.

Dal 27 giugno al 31 luglio, dal martedì al venerdì, alle ore 7,15 sarà possibile visitare la Cattedrale attraverso un’esperienza esclusiva con il custode delle chiavi del Duomo di Siena. Il percorso consentirà di ammirare il Pavimento scoperto con il magnifico tappeto di marmo, la Libreria Piccolomini e la Porta del Cielo.

‘Il clavigero: il risveglio del Duomo di Siena’ è una delle esperienze culturali speciali promosse dall’Opera della Metropolitana e organizzate da Opera Laboratori che condurranno i visitatori, per un massimo di 18 persone, alla scoperta di questo capolavoro. 

Dal martedì al venerdì per venti giorni sarà possibile prendere parte ad un tour esclusivo, con inizio alle ore 7,15 fino alle ore 8,45, seguendo l’apertura, l’accensione delle luci, l’organizzazione e la preparazione all’accoglienza insieme a coloro che quotidianamente si adoperano al “risveglio” della Cattedrale.

Quando le prime luci del giorno si stagliano all’orizzonte, il maestoso complesso monumentale del Duomo di Siena accoglierà i visitatori incantati dalla facciata in marmi policromi che si ‘tingono’ con l’arrivo dei raggi solari: l’inizio sereno di una giornata unica.

Il clavigero inizierà il suo lavoro e a ogni giro di chiave si apriranno porte che rivelano secoli di storia e di arte nella loro forma più autentica. Nel silenzio, lontani dalla fretta e dal caos, sarà possibile scoprire i capolavori custoditi nella Libreria Piccolomini e assistere a momenti mozzafiato nel percorso elevato dei sottotetti del Tempio con l’apertura della Porta del Cielo.

Una visita che consentirà di vivere un’esperienza speciale all’interno del Duomo di Siena, ammirando i suoi antichi tesori frutto di secoli di sapienza, arte e spiritualità. Al termine, a tutti i partecipanti, verrà offerta una colazione in Piazza San Giovanni.

With the Clavigero at dawn in the Siena Cathedral

The Siena Cathedral offers for the first time an evocative route during the first lights of the day, accompanied by an exceptional guide: the Clavigero.

From June 27 to July 31, from Tuesday to Friday, at 7:15 am it will be possible to visit the Cathedral through an exclusive experience with the custodian of the keys of the Siena Cathedral. The route will allow you to admire the Uncovered Floor with the magnificent marble carpet, the Piccolomini Library and the Gate of Heaven.

‘The Clavigero: the awakening of the Siena Cathedral’ is one of the special cultural experiences promoted by the Opera della Metropolitana and organized by Opera Laboratori that will lead visitors, for a maximum of 18 people, to the discovery of this masterpiece.

From Tuesday to Friday for twenty days it will be possible to take part in an exclusive tour, starting at 7.15 am and ending at 8.45 am, following the opening, the switching on of the lights, the organization and the preparation for the welcome together with those who work daily to “awaken” the Cathedral.

When the first lights of the day stand out on the horizon, the majestic monumental complex of the Siena Cathedral will welcome visitors enchanted by the polychrome marble façade that is “tinged” by the arrival of the sun’s rays: the serene start of a unique day.

The keyholder will begin his work and with each turn of the key, doors will open that reveal centuries of history and art in their most authentic form. In silence, far from haste and chaos, it will be possible to discover the masterpieces kept in the Piccolomini Library and witness breathtaking moments in the elevated path of the attics of the Temple with the opening of the Gate of Heaven.

A visit that will allow you to live a special experience inside the Siena Cathedral, admiring its ancient treasures, the result of centuries of wisdom, art and spirituality. At the end, all participants will be offered a breakfast in Piazza San Giovanni.
