Il 21 dicembre, dopo otto anni di chiusura, riaprirà il Corridoio Vasariano.

Era dal 2016 che non si poteva aver accesso al lungo corridoio che unisce Palazzo Vecchio con Palazzo Pitti passando, attraversando Firenze da una sponda all’altra dell’Arno.

Cosimo I aveva commissionato la sua realizzazione a Giorgio Vasari nel 1565, in occasione del matrimonio di suo figlio Francesco con Giovanna d’Austria.

Lo scopo della messa in opera fu quella di permettere ai Granduchi di muoversi senza essere visti in tutta sicurezza: in questo modo non sarebbe stato necessaria la scorta per muoversi da un punto all’altro della città di Firenze.

Prima dell’attuale allestimento, all’interno era esposta la più importante raccolta di autoritratti di pittori e dipinti del Seicento e del Settecento.

La riapertura del Corridoio vasariano è stata pensata proposta e discussa in più occasioni ma finalmente, a breve, aprirà le sue porte alla presenza del ministro della cultura Giuli. Il 20 ci sarà l’inaugurazione dei lavori eseguiti mentre il 21 riaprirà regolarmente al pubblico.

Costo, prenotazione e modalità di accesso

Da martedì 10 dicembre verranno aperte le prenotazioni obbligatorie per poter visitare il Corridoio Vasariano. La visita del solo corridoio non sarà possibile: è strettamente vincolata a quella della Galleria degli Uffizi.

L’ingresso della galleria si trova nello spazio antistante la Cappellina Veneziana delle saale verdi della pittura veneta, al primo piano della Galleria degli Uffizi.

Si potrà entrare nel vasariano dal martedì alla domenica, acquistando assieme al biglietto di ingresso degli Uffizi, quello dedicato al corridoio per una cifra complessiva di 43 euro più il costo della prevendita.

Per quanto riguarda gli orari di visita, avranno inizio alle ore 10:15 con ultimo ingresso alle 16:35. Si potrà accedere ogni 15 minuti per gruppi composti da un massimo di 25 persone.

Altra peculiarità: il corridoio più essere percorso solo nel senso Uffizi-Boboli. L’uscita è ubicata di fianco alla Grotta del Buon Talenti: il personale in attesa all’uscita del corridoio accompagnerà i visitatori all’uscita.

Per prenotare e acquistare il biglietto per il Corridoio Vasariano, è possibile farlo QUA, sul sito ufficiale del museo, a partire dal 10 dicembre.

On December 21, after eight years of closure, the Vasari Corridor will reopen.

Before the current layout, the most important collection of self-portraits of painters and paintings of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries was exhibited inside.

The reopening of the Vasari Corridor has been thought, proposed and discussed on several occasions but finally, soon, it will open its doors in the presence of the Minister of Culture Giuli. On the 20th there will be the inauguration of the works carried out while on the 21st it will reopen regularly to the public.

Cost, reservations and access methods

From Tuesday 10 December reservations will open, mandatory to visit the Vasari Corridor. The visit of the corridor alone will not be possible: it is strictly linked to that of the Uffizi Gallery.

The entrance to the gallery is located in the space in front of the Venetian Chapel of the green rooms of Venetian painting, on the first floor of the Uffizi Gallery.

You can enter the Vasari Corridor from Tuesday to Sunday, purchasing together with the entrance ticket to the Uffizi, the one dedicated to the corridor for a total amount of 43 euros plus the cost of the presale.

As for the visiting hours, they will start at 10:15 with last entry at 16:35. Access will be possible every 15 minutes for groups of up to 25 people.

Another peculiarity: the corridor can only be traveled in the direction Uffizi-Boboli. The exit is located next to the Grotta del Buon Talenti: the staff waiting at the exit of the corridor will accompany visitors to the exit.
