Cercando in rete qualcosa di bello da proporvi, ho trovato più di quanto speravo: una preziosa testimonianza video che racconta immagine dopo immagine come venne effettuato il restauro degli affreschi miei nella Cappella Sistina.

Vedrete impegnati al lavoro il capo restauratore Gianluigi Colalucci assieme al suo team formato da Maurizio Rossi, Piergiorgio Bonetti e Bruno Baratti mentre rimuovono la sporcizia e gli strati di colla animale che nel corso degli anni avevano reso gli affreschi quasi illeggibili soprattutto in alcune zone.

Se fino adesso avete letto di come siano stati ripuliti i brani più celebri di pittura come le di Dio che si protendono verso quelle di Adamo o il volto di Cristo Giudice, adesso potrete vederli direttamente in questo documento filmato.

The VIDEO that returns you to the scaffolding with the restorers of the Sistine Chapel

Looking on the net for something beautiful to offer you, I found more than I had hoped for: a precious video testimony that tells image after image how the restoration of my frescoes in the Sistine Chapel was carried out.

You will see busy restorer Gianluigi Colalucci working with his team of Maurizio Rossi, Piergiorgio Bonetti and Bruno Baratti while they remove the dirt and layers of animal glue that over the years have made the frescoes almost illegible, especially in some areas.
