Michelangelo Buonarroti 28 marzo 2019 1 commento

The VIDEO that returns you to the scaffolding with the restorers of the Sistine Chapel

Looking on the net for something beautiful to offer you, I found more than I had hoped for: a precious video testimony that tells image after image how the restoration of my frescoes in the Sistine Chapel was carried out.

You will see busy restorer Gianluigi Colalucci working with his team of Maurizio Rossi, Piergiorgio Bonetti and Bruno Baratti while they remove the dirt and layers of animal glue that over the years have made the frescoes almost illegible, especially in some areas.

If until now you have read about how the most famous pieces of painting have been cleaned up, such as those of God that reach out to those of Adam or the face of Christ the Judge, you can now see them directly in this filmed document.

See it all from the beginning to the end because it’s worth it. Your always Michelangelo Buonarroti
