La Belle Époque si appresta a dare un tocco di colore e romanticismo all’autunno pisano.

Dal 15 ottobre 2025 al 7 aprile 2026, la Fondazione Palazzo Blu presenta la mostra Belle Époque, a cura della Prof.ssa Francesca Dini, realizzata in collaborazione con MondoMostre e con il contributo della Fondazione Pisa.

Un viaggio entusiasmante in quella che viene considerata l’epoca più elegante d’Europa, raccontata attraverso capolavori provenienti da prestigiosi musei italiani e internazionali, tra i quali il Musée d’Orsay, il Louvre, il Philadelphia Museum of Art, le Gallerie degli Uffizi, il Museo e Real Bosco di Capodimonte, il Palazzo Te di Mantova, oltre a importanti collezioni private mai esposte prima al pubblico.

La mostra Belle Époque

La mostra celebra il fascino, la modernità e l’eleganza della Parigi alla fine dell’Ottocento, vista attraverso lo sguardo degli artisti italiani come Boldini, De Nittis e Corcos. Dalle atmosfere di quella città vollero trarre la loro ispirazione, divenendo protagonisti della scena europea.

Il percorso espositivo si snoda in sezioni tematiche pensate per ripercorrere i momenti più importanti della Belle Époque: dagli sconvolgimenti politici del 1870 fino alla nascita della Parigi moderna.

Attraverso i celeberrimi ritratti di Boldini, Blanche, Sargent e Helleu, le vedute urbane di De Nittis, le atmosfere impressioniste di Zandomeneghi e l’eleganza cosmopolita di Mario Fortuny e della Maison Goupil, la mostra riporta in auge l’atmosfera di un’epoca irripetibile in cui arte, letteratura, scienza e costume hanno fatto di Parigi il centro del mondo.

Belle Époque: A Journey Through the Elegance of Paris at Palazzo Blu

The Belle Époque is preparing to add a touch of color and romance to Pisa’s autumn.

From October 15, 2025, to April 7, 2026, the Palazzo Blu Foundation presents the Belle Époque exhibition, curated by Professor Francesca Dini, in collaboration with MondoMostre and with the contribution of the Pisa Foundation.

An exciting journey through what is considered Europe’s most elegant era, told through masterpieces from prestigious Italian and international museums, including the Musée d’Orsay, the Louvre, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Uffizi Galleries, the Museo e Real Bosco di Capodimonte, and Palazzo Te in Mantua, as well as important private collections never before exhibited to the public.

The Belle Époque Exhibition
The exhibition celebrates the charm, modernity, and elegance of Paris at the end of the 19th century, seen through the eyes of Italian artists such as Boldini, De Nittis, and Corcos. They drew inspiration from the city’s atmosphere, becoming protagonists of the European art scene.

The exhibition unfolds in thematic sections designed to retrace the most important moments of the Belle Époque: from the political upheavals of 1870 to the birth of modern Paris.

Through the celebrated portraits of Boldini, Blanche, Sargent, and Helleu, the urban views of De Nittis, the Impressionist atmospheres of Zandomeneghi, and the cosmopolitan elegance of Mario Fortuny and the Maison Goupil, the exhibition revives the atmosphere of a unique era in which art, literature, science, and customs made Paris the center of the world.
