In occasione dei 400 anni dalla morte di Jan Brueghel il Vecchio, la Pinacoteca Ambrosiana di Milano ha deciso di celebrare questa ricorrenza con un’importante riorganizzazione della sala 7, dedicata ai pittori fiamminghi.

Questo progetto è stato realizzato grazie al supporto di Intesa Sanpaolo e presenta una selezione straordinaria di 32 capolavori.

La cura dell’allestimento è stata affidata all’architetto Alessandro Colombo, il quale ha lavorato per valorizzare la collezione storica raccolta dal Cardinale Federico Borromeo, un’opera di grande rilevanza nel panorama artistico europeo.

Tra le opere esposte arricchiscono l’esperienza visiva del visitatore, le creazioni di Jan Brueghel il Vecchio, noto per la sua abilità nel rappresentare nature morte e paesaggi ricchi di dettagli, insieme alle opere di Paul Bril, uno dei suoi contemporanei più influenti.

La riorganizzazione della sala non si limita a un semplice riordino, ma offre una nuova installazione multimediale, concepita per rendere l’arte e la spiritualità dell’epoca accessibili e coinvolgenti.

Questa installazione permette ai visitatori di interagire con le opere, approfondendo così non solo il significato artistico, ma anche il contesto storico e culturale in cui queste sono state create.

Inoltre, la disposizione delle opere per autore è pensata per favorire una narrazione più profonda e fluida, consentendo ai visitatori di esplorare le tecniche artistiche degli autori e di immergersi completamente nelle atmosfere che queste opere evocano.

Attraverso questo nuovo allestimento, la Pinacoteca Ambrosiana non solo celebra l’eredità di Jan Brueghel il Vecchio, ma si propone anche come un luogo di incontro tra passato e presente, offrendo un’esperienza culturale unica a tutti coloro che desiderano approfondire la loro conoscenza dell’arte fiamminga.

Brueghel: the new layout of the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana for the 400th anniversary of his death

On the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the death of Jan Brueghel the Elder, the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana in Milan has decided to celebrate this anniversary with a major reorganization of room 7, dedicated to Flemish painters.

This project was realized thanks to the support of Intesa Sanpaolo and presents an extraordinary selection of 32 masterpieces.
