Intrattabile con i potenti ma il più incline all’amar persone

Se dissi realmente quelle parole oppure no non è dato sapere ma fatto sta che sono molto affini ai miei pensieri e non mi stupirei se davvero fossero uscite dalla mia bocca.
Il Giovio e l’Aretino fecero di me un ritratto completamente diverso, distorto a tratti, descrivendomi come sempre scontroso e solitario. Fui anche in alcune occasioni così, non lo nego, come non rinnego l’amicizia che ebbi di molti.
