Video: inside the Basilica of San Pietro
Welcome to St. Peter’s Basilica: the largest in the world. Built on the former basilica built by Constantine, it has always been the center of Christianity and is a destination for pilgrims, tourists and curious people who come from all over the world.
Visitors are welcomed by the big hug of the colonnade, built by that genius of Bernini. Imagine what it meant to find yourself in front of that imposing construction for humble pilgrims who came from who knows where and who in their life had never had the opportunity to see anything so majestic or distantly comparable.
Looking online today I found this film about a quarter of an hour that offers you a nice story albeit synthetic of one of the wonders of the world: the Basilica of San Pietro.
Your Michelangelo Buonarroti greets you, wishing you a good vision. The video is in English.
