Ogni anno, con l’arrivo della bella stagione, Villa Bardini si veste di meraviglia. Per pochi, preziosi giorni, il suo celebre pergolato si trasforma in un corridoio incantato: settanta metri di profumo e sfumature lilla, dove il glicine scende come una cascata leggera sopra lo sguardo dei visitatori.

Camminare sotto queste arcate fiorite è come entrare in un sogno. Le varietà Black Dragon, Royal Purple giapponese a fiore doppio e Wisteria Prolific si intrecciano creando un mosaico naturale che cambia luce ad ogni ora del giorno. E mentre il profumo avvolge i sensi, lo sguardo si apre su una delle vedute più romantiche di Firenze, dall’alto, quasi in silenziosa contemplazione.

Un giardino sospeso tra storia e bellezza

Il Giardino Bardini non è solo un luogo, ma una stratificazione di epoche e visioni. I suoi quattro ettari si adagiano tra le antiche mura medievali, la riva sinistra dell’Arno e la collina di Montecuccoli, custodendo secoli di storia.

Qui convivono l’eleganza del palazzo, il fascino esotico del giardino anglo-cinese progettato da Luigi Le Blanc e la teatralità del giardino barocco. Nel 1913, l’antiquario Stefano Bardini trasformò profondamente questo spazio, lasciando un’impronta audace e discussa che ancora oggi definisce l’identità del complesso.

Dopo anni di silenzio e abbandono, il giardino ha ritrovato la sua voce nel 2006, grazie a un attento restauro promosso dalla Fondazione CR Firenze. Oggi, sotto la cura della Fondazione Parchi Monumentali Bardini e Peyron, Villa Bardini è tornata a essere un luogo vivo, dove passato e presente dialogano con armonia.

Tra scalinate, fontane e fioriture d’incanto

Visitare questo giardino significa lasciarsi guidare dalla meraviglia. La scenografica scalinata barocca conduce al Belvedere, mentre sei fontane decorate con mosaici riflettono la luce come piccoli specchi d’acqua.

E poi c’è il bosco all’inglese, un angolo intimo e raffinato dove azalee, camelie e agrumi raccontano la delicatezza della natura coltivata con amore. In primavera, ogni angolo sembra sussurrare una promessa di bellezza.

Every year, with the arrival of summer, Villa Bardini is adorned with wonder. For a few precious days, its famous pergola transforms into an enchanted corridor: seventy meters of scent and lilac hues, where wisteria cascades like a gentle waterfall before the gaze of visitors.

Walking beneath these flowering arches is like entering a dream. The Black Dragon, double-flowered Japanese Royal Purple, and Prolific Wisteria varieties intertwine, creating a natural mosaic that changes light with every hour of the day. And as the scent envelops the senses, the gaze opens onto one of the most romantic views of Florence, from above, almost in silent contemplation.

A garden suspended between history and beauty

The Bardini Garden is not just a place, but a layering of eras and visions. Its four hectares nestle between the ancient medieval walls, the left bank of the Arno, and the Montecuccoli hill, preserving centuries of history.

Here, the elegance of the palace, the exotic charm of the Anglo-Chinese garden designed by Luigi Le Blanc, and the theatricality of the Baroque garden coexist. In 1913, the antiques dealer Stefano Bardini profoundly transformed this space, leaving a bold and controversial mark that still defines the complex’s identity today.

After years of silence and neglect, the garden regained its voice in 2006, thanks to a careful restoration promoted by the Fondazione CR Firenze.
