A pochissimi giorni di distanza dall’inizio del Giubileo 2025, le acque sono tornate a scrosciare nella Fontana di Trevi, ultimata di restaurare.

I lavori sono iniziati meno di tre mesi fa e, in tempi molto stretti, sono stati portati a termine. L’intervento ha riguardato la pulitura delle superfici lapidee della parte inferiore ovvero della scogliera e della zona compresa tra il bordo della vasca e le gradinate di accesso.

In questi mesi si è provveduto a riparare le stuccature danneggiate dei giunti presenti in diverse zone per preservarne l’integrità.

La vasca è stata impermeabilizzata e Acea ha provveduto ad effettuare una manutenzione straordinaria sull’impianto di ricircolo dell’acqua, sostituendo i vecchi organi di manovra con nuovi apparati più performanti.

L’accesso alla Fontana di Trevi da adesso in poi sarà contingentato e potranno infatti arrivare a bordo vasca 400 persone alla volta. Non sarà più possibile fumare, mangiare o sedersi sul bordo come invece veniva fatto fino a pochi mesi fa.

Jubilee 2025: Trevi Fountain reopens with restricted access

Just a few days after the start of Jubilee 2025, the waters have started flowing and roaring again in the Trevi Fountain, which has been completely restored.

The work began less than three months ago and was completed in a very short time. The work involved cleaning the stone surfaces of the lower part, i.e. the cliff and the area between the edge of the pool and the access steps.

In recent months, the damaged grouting of the joints in various areas has been repaired to preserve their integrity. The pool has been waterproofed and Acea has carried out extraordinary maintenance on the water recirculation system, replacing the old control devices with new, higher-performance devices.

From now on, access to the Trevi Fountain will be restricted and only 400 people will be allowed to reach the pool edge at a time. It will no longer be possible to smoke, eat or sit on the edge as was done until a few months ago.
