Anticipazioni: ecco le mostre in arrivo a settembre 2024
Dopo la calura estiva, come tradizione vuole torna la stagione delle nuove mostre a settembre. Cosa ci dobbiamo aspettare? Ecco alcune delle esposizioni più interessanti che stanno per arrivare in Italia.
“Berthe Morisot. Pittrice impressionista” alla Gam di Torino
Sarà una mostra volta a celebrare la storia e il percorso artistico seguito dall’unica donna che fece parte dei fondatori del movimento impressionista.
Il percorso espositivo metterà in luce il legame di Morisot con la poetica del movimento facendo emergere il suo stile del tutto personale. Berthe Morisot (1841-1895) fu una delle pioniere del movimento impressionista, dominato prevalentemente da uomini.
La sua arte, caratterizzata da pennellate fluide, composizioni luminose e una sensibile attenzione alla luce e all’atmosfera, catturò l’essenza della vita quotidiana e delle attività ricreative dell’epoca.
“Il Cinquecento a Ferrara. Mazzolino, Ortolano, Garofalo, Dosso” a Palazzo dei Diamanti, Ferrara
L’esposizione racconta le vicende della pittura del primo Cinquecento a Ferrara: dagli anni del passaggio di consegne da Ercole I d’Este al figlio Alfonso (1505) fino alla morte di quest’ultimo (1534), committente raffinato e di grandi ambizioni.

“Munch: il grido interiore” a Palazzo Reale, Milano
Edvard Munch, considerato a ragione un precursore dell’Espressionismo e uno dei maggiori esponenti simbolisti dell’Ottocento, sta per tornare a Milano dopo quarant’anni dall’ultima volta, con le sue più profonde inquietudini.
Tra i capolavori esposti vale la pena menzionare una delle versioni litografiche dell’Urlo, la Notte Stellata, la Morte di Marat e le Ragazze sul ponte.
La mostra inoltre sarà arricchita da un nutrito palinsesto di eventi che coinvolgerà realtà culturali differenti, mirate ad approfondire la conoscenza dell’artista e dei temi da lui trattati attraverso la pittura.
“Fernando Botero: la retrospettiva” a Palazzo Bonaparte a Roma
A partire da settembre 2024, Palazzo Bonaparte accoglierà la retrospettiva dedicata a Fernando Botero, l’artista colombiano recentemente scomparso.
Dipinti, acquarelli, sculture e inediti saranno esposti nelle sale, offrendo al pubblico la più completa mostra mai realizzata a Roma. Le opere, di medie e grandi dimensioni, avranno in comune le rotondità delle forme tipiche dell’artista e i colori sgargianti iperrealisti di matrice sudamericana.
La mostra includerà anche versioni di capolavori della storia dell’arte di Botero come la sua Fornarina ripresa da quella più celebre di Raffaello e Le Menine di Velázquez.
“Antico Egitto: Un Viaggio Straordinario attraverso una Civiltà Millenaria” a palazzo Bonaparte a Roma
Infine, ad appassionare il pubblico da ottobre 2025, sarà l’esposizione sull’Antico Egitto, prodotta in collaborazione con il Museo Egizio di Torino.
Con l’intento di condurre i visitatori alla scoperta di questa straordinaria civiltà durata oltre 3.000 anni, la mostra racconterà la storia dell’antico Egitto attraverso numerosi reperti archeologici, corredi funerari, sculture, papiri, sarcofaghi e oggetti di culto che testimoniano l’incanto e il mistero di questa millenaria civiltà.
Un viaggio affascinante che permetterà ai visitatori di immergersi nell’arte, nella spiritualità e nella quotidianità di un popolo che ha lasciato un’impronta indelebile nella storia dell’umanità.

After the summer heat, as tradition dictates, the season of new exhibitions returns in September. What should we expect? Here are some of the most interesting exhibitions that are coming to Italy.
“Berthe Morisot. Impressionist Painter” at the GAM in Turin
It will be an exhibition aimed at celebrating the history and artistic path followed by the only woman who was one of the founders of the Impressionist movement.
The exhibition will highlight Morisot’s connection with the poetics of the movement, bringing out her very personal style. Berthe Morisot (1841-1895) was one of the pioneers of the Impressionist movement, which was predominantly dominated by men.
Her art, characterized by fluid brushstrokes, luminous compositions and a sensitive attention to light and atmosphere, captured the essence of everyday life and recreational activities of the time.
“The Cinquecento in Ferrara. Mazzolino, Ortolano, Garofalo, Dosso” at Palazzo dei Diamanti, Ferrara
The exhibition tells the story of early 16th-century painting in Ferrara: from the years of the handover from Ercole I d’Este to his son Alfonso (1505) to the death of the latter (1534), a refined and ambitious patron.
“Munch: the inner cry” at Palazzo Reale, Milan
Edvard Munch, rightly considered a precursor of Expressionism and one of the greatest symbolist exponents of the 19th century, is about to return to Milan after forty years since his last visit, with his deepest anxieties.
Among the masterpieces on display, it is worth mentioning one of the lithographic versions of the Scream, the Starry Night, the Death of Marat and the Girls on the Bridge.
The exhibition will also be enriched by a rich program of events that will involve different cultural realities, aimed at deepening the knowledge of the artist and the themes he addressed through painting.
“Fernando Botero: the retrospective” at Palazzo Bonaparte in Rome
Starting in September 2024, Palazzo Bonaparte will host the retrospective dedicated to Fernando Botero, the Colombian artist who recently passed away.
Paintings, watercolors, sculptures and unpublished works will be exhibited in the rooms, offering the public the most complete exhibition ever held in Rome. The works, of medium and large dimensions, will have in common the roundness of the artist’s typical forms and the bright hyperrealist colors of South American origin.
The exhibition will also include versions of masterpieces from the history of Botero’s art such as his Fornarina taken from the more famous one by Raphael and Le Menine by Velázquez.
“Ancient Egypt: An Extraordinary Journey through a Millenary Civilization” at Palazzo Bonaparte in Rome
Finally, the exhibition on Ancient Egypt, produced in collaboration with the Egyptian Museum of Turin, will enthuse the public from October 2025.
