L’Albertina Museum di Vienna sta preparando una nuova mostra dedicata ai miei disegni che possiede.

L’esposizione dal titolo “Michelangelo e le sue conseguenze” verrà inaugurata il 15 settembre 2023 e proseguirà fino al 7 gennaio 2024. Dovete sapere che ogni dieci anni l’Albertina Museum organizza una mostra dedicata ai miei disegni.

Per l’occasione verranno proposti al pubblico 9 dei miei 13 fogli che possiede fra i quali i due studi di braccia e il giovane nudo maschile seduto, mettendoli a confronto con altri disegni e incisioni di nudi maschili realizzati da artisti successivi a me.

Fra le opere esposte ci sarà la grande incisione dell’Ercole, realizzata nel 1589 da Hendrick Goltzius e i miei studi di nudo femminile seduto realizzati fra il1530 e il 1536, messi a confronto con gli studi dei nudi femminili di Durer, Rembrandt e Hans Baldung Grien.

La mostra “Michelangelo e le sue conseguenze” ha come obiettivo quello di mettere a fuoco quale sia stato il grande impatto che i miei disegni ebbero nella produzione grafica del XVI e del XVII secolo. Fra gli altri disegni esposti vale la pena menzionare anche quelli di Raffaello, sempre appartenenti all’Albertina Museum.

Insomma, l’appuntamento con la nuova mostra è previsto a partire dal 15 di settembre in poi.

New exhibition: Michelangelo and his aftermath

The Albertina Museum in Vienna is preparing a new exhibition dedicated to my drawings that it owns.

The exhibition entitled “Michelangelo and his consequences” will be inaugurated on 15 September 2023 and will continue until 7 January 2024. You should know that every ten years the Albertina Museum organizes an exhibition dedicated to my drawings.

For the occasion, 9 of my 13 sheets that he owns will be offered to the public, including the two studies of arms and the young seated male nude, comparing them with other drawings and engravings of male nudes made by artists after me.

Among the exhibited works there will be the large engraving of Hercules, made in 1589 by Hendrick Goltzius and my studies of seated female nudes made between 1530 and 1536, compared with the studies of female nudes by Durer, Rembrandt and Hans Baldung Grien .

The exhibition “Michelangelo and his consequences” aims to focus on the great impact that my drawings had on the graphic production of the 16th and 17th centuries. Among the other drawings on display, it is also worth mentioning those by Raphael, also belonging to the Albertina Museum.

In short, the appointment with the new exhibition is scheduled to start from 15 September onwards.
