consapevolezza, fede e speranza vi accompagni oggi e domani, vi saluto addolorato
Happy Easter with gritted teeth
I wish each of you a Happy Easter in the hope that it will be good for you. The day began in a tragic way: the simultaneous attack on three churches during Easter celebrations and three hotels in Sri Lanka. At the moment the wounded seem to be about eighty and the dead are 129. Unfortunately the number of deaths and injuries seems to be destined to rise again and there are several foreign victims, probably arriving in Colombo and in the other cities affected just for the holidays.
It is difficult to spend a serene Easter now, imbued with blood from the early hours of the morning. In the hope that this day of awareness, faith and hope will accompany you today and tomorrow, I greet you sorrowfully leaving you in the company of the Risen Christ … the first version I sculpted for Metello Vari.
Your always Michelangelo Buonarroti
