Christie’s: battuto all’asta per 23milioni di Euro il mio disegno giovanile
🇮🇹Oggi pomeriggio è stato battuto all’asta da Christie’s a Parigi il mio disegno giovanile inedito che realizzai probabilmente quando me ne andavo spesso a studiare dal vero i superbi affreschi di Masaccio e Masolino nella Cappella Brancacci. 🇬🇧This afternoon, my unpublished early drawing was auctioned at Christie's in Paris, which I probably created when I often went to study the superb frescoes by Masaccio and Masolino in the Brancacci Chapel from life.
I ritratti dei figli dell’Urbino
🇮🇹Non amavo fare ritratti dal vero ma in tutta la mia produzione artistica ce ne sono eccome come ad esempio i due disegni che ritraggono i figli dell'Urbino che fu al mio fianco per 25 anni consecutivi... 🇬🇧I did not like to take portraits from life but in all my artistic production there is indeed such as the two drawings that portray the children of Urbino who was by my side for 25 consecutive years...

Quell’amor divino c’aperse a prender noi ‘n croce le braccia
🇮🇹Meditai a lungo sulla Passione di Cristo, sulla Crocifissione e la Pietà, in modo particolare a partire dagli anni quaranta del Cinquecento in poi. 🇬🇧I meditated for a long time on the Passion of Christ, on the Crucifixion and the Pietà, especially from the forties of the sixteenth century onwards.

Studio per un ignudo della Sistina
🇮🇹Il disegno che vi propongo ha a che fare con lo studio di un ignudo che poi affrescai nella volta della Sistina. 🇬🇧The drawing that I propose to you has to do with the study of a nude which I later frescoed in the vault of the Sistine Chapel.
