Lucca profuma di carta, storie e creatività. Sabato 25 e domenica 26 aprile torna uno degli appuntamenti culturali più originali della Toscana: il festival Lucca Città di Carta, che animerà gli spazi del Real Collegio di Lucca con un ricco programma di eventi dedicati al mondo del libro e dell’arte su carta.

Giunto alla sua quinta edizione, Lucca Città di Carta si conferma come un evento unico nel panorama italiano: un viaggio che unisce la storia della carta – profondamente radicata nel territorio lucchese – con le forme contemporanee della creatività editoriale e artistica.

Un festival unico tra libri, arte e artigianato

Il festival nasce dall’incontro tra più linguaggi: libri, stampa, illustrazione, fotografia e artigianato cartaceo. Un intreccio che racconta come la carta, da semplice materiale, diventi strumento di espressione culturale e artistica.

A idearlo e organizzarlo sono Romina Lombardi e Alessio Del Debbio, che negli anni hanno costruito un evento capace di valorizzare il forte legame tra Lucca e la tradizione cartaria, rendendolo al tempo stesso moderno e partecipativo.

Programma ricco: incontri, mostre e laboratori

Durante il festival, visitatori e curiosi potranno scegliere tra numerose attività:

• presentazioni di libri e incontri con autori

On Saturday, April 25th and Sunday, April 26th, one of Tuscany’s most original cultural events returns: the Lucca City of Paper festival, which will enliven the spaces of the Real Collegio di Lucca with a rich program of events dedicated to the world of books and paper art.

Now in its fifth edition, Lucca City of Paper confirms its unique status in Italy: a journey that unites the history of paper—deeply rooted in the Lucca area—with contemporary forms of editorial and artistic creativity.

A unique festival of books, art, and craftsmanship

The festival is born from the intersection of multiple languages: books, printing, illustration, photography, and paper craftsmanship. This intertwining showcases how paper, once a simple material, becomes a tool for cultural and artistic expression.

The festival was conceived and organized by Romina Lombardi and Alessio Del Debbio, who over the years have built an event that highlights the strong connection between Lucca and its papermaking tradition, making it both modern and participatory.

A rich program: meetings, exhibitions, and workshops

During the festival, visitors and the curious can choose from numerous activities:
