In occasione delle Giornate Europee del Patrimonio 2024, promosse dal Ministero della Cultura e in programma il 28 e 29 settembre, i Musei del Bargello presentano un ricco programma di eventi attinenti al“Patrimonio in cammino”, collegandosi allo slogan “Routes, Networks and Connections”, scelto dal Consiglio d’Europa e condiviso dai Paesi aderenti alla manifestazione.

Il Museo Nazionale del Bargello, il Museo di Palazzo Davanzati, le Cappelle Medicee, il Museo di Orsanmichele e il Museo di Casa Martelli propongono una serie di iniziative volte a riscoprire il patrimonio culturale attraverso visite tematiche, conferenze, laboratori per bambini e ragazzi e spettacoli.

Sabato 28 alle 19:15 è in programma la conferenza intitolata “Al crepuscolo dell’Impero: Il consolato tardoantico e le aristocrazie degli avori“, che si terrà nella Sala del Verrocchio del Museo Nazionale del Bargello. I visitatori del museo – che per l’occasione sarà aperto dalle 8:15 alle 22 – potranno partecipare alla conferenza di Giovanni Alberto Cecconi, docente di Storia Romana dell’Università degli Studi di Firenze. La relazione del professore si incentrerà sulla carica del consolato nella tarda antichità, con riferimenti ai doni di celebrazione (dittici eburnei), nel quadro delle trasformazioni culturali e religiose del tardo impero. Sono inoltre previsti due interventi a margine di Valeria d’Aquino e Ilaria Ciseri, funzionarie dei Musei del Bargello, sul nucleo più antico delle tavolette in avorio del Museo.

L’evento è gratuito per i visitatori muniti di biglietto d’ingresso al museo, che, in occasione delle GEP 2024 sarà aperto in orario prolungato, dalle 19:00 alle 22:00, al costo simbolico di 1 euro. Nel programma delle Giornate Europee del Patrimonio 2024, i Musei del Bargello propongono visite tematiche e laboratori anche negli altri musei del gruppo. Sabato 28 settembre, al Museo di Orsanmichele, in calendario due visite guidate dal titolo “Da Orsanmichele a Santiago di Compostela: la figura di San Giacomo Maggiore tra arte e fede“, alle ore 10:30 e alle 16:00. Il percorso della visita, ispirato al tema del pellegrinaggio di San Giacomo, si svolgerà attraverso delle vere e proprie tappe artistiche che consentiranno ai visitatori di ammirare gli straordinari capolavoriconservati nella chiesa e nel museo: dal rilievo marmoreo raffigurante l’apostolo, che si trova sul retro del prezioso tabernacolo realizzato dall’Orcagna, fino alla scultura in marmo di Niccolò di Pietro Lamberti (1420 circa), che raffigura il santo patrono dell’Arte fiorentina dei Vaiai e Pellicciai, oggi allestita nel museo al primo piano e un tempo collocata in una delle nicchie esterne (visite guidate gratuite e senza prenotazione per tutti i possessori di biglietto di ingresso al museo).

Sempre sabato 28 settembre, al Museo di Palazzo Davanzati (che rimarrà aperto con orario prolungato dalle 13:15 alle 22 e, a partire dalle 19, i visitatori avranno la possibilità di accedere al prezzo simbolico di 1 euro), si terrà il percorso guidato “Dalla Veste all’Abito: come vestirsi attraverso i secoli“, che condurrà i visitatori in un viaggio nei cambiamenti della moda dal Medioevo fino all’Ottocento, illustrando negli abiti indossati dalle figure protagoniste delle opere del museo l’evoluzione dei bisogni di una società in continuo mutamento. Le visite, in programma alle ore 15:15 e 17:15, offriranno una riflessione sulle influenze economiche e culturali che hanno trasformato il costume e la società nel corso dei secoli (visite guidate gratuite e senza prenotazione per tutti i possessori di biglietto di ingresso al museo).

Porte aperte anche per il Museo di Casa Martelli, che anche il 28, come ogni sabato, sarà accessibile gratuitamente con visite guidate alle 9, alle 10, alle 11 e alle 12.

Domenica 29 settembre (alle 10 e alle 11:15), le Cappelle Medicee inoltre accoglieranno i bambini e ragazzi dai 9 ai 12 anni per il laboratorio didattico “In viaggio con le pietre dure“, un’avventura alla scoperta delle rare pietre semipreziose che decorano la Cappella dei Principi e che arrivano dall’Europa, dal bacino del Mediterraneo, dall’Africa del Nord fino al vicino Oriente, permettendo di esplorare anche la storia di una tecnica decorativa  raffinatissima e sfarzosa che ha reso Firenze famosa in tutto il mondo, dal Seicento fino ad oggi. Attraverso giochi e attività interattive, i giovani partecipanti esploreranno l’origine e l’uso di queste pietre, approfondendo il tema della sostenibilità ambientale. Il laboratorio è gratuito, ma è richiesta la prenotazione entro il 27 settembre (all’indirizzo mn-bar.didattica@cultura.gov.it), e gli accompagnatori dovranno essere muniti di biglietto d’ingresso.

Si ricorda inoltre che in occasione delle GEP 2024 verranno messi in scena alcuni degli appuntamenti di“Teatro e musica per viaggiare nel tempo”,il programma di eventi organizzato dai Musei del Bargello con il sostegno della Direzione generale spettacolo del Ministero della Cultura che fino a ottobre vedono la Compagnia delle seggiole e l’Orchestra da Camera Fiorentina esibirsiin una serie di pièce e concerti accessibili gratuitamente ai visitatori.

Il 28 settembre alle 20, al Museo di Palazzo Davanzati, il Quartetto Ixia presenterà “Viaggio intorno a Puccini” mentre,sempre sabato 28, dalle 16 alle 18, le Cappelle Medicee accoglieranno una grande protagonista della famiglia Medici, con l’Incontro (im)possibile con Anna Maria Luisa de’ Medici Elettrice Palatina,ultimaerede della casata Medici,che racconterà ai visitatori la storia del suo testamento, grazie al quale lo stato toscano ereditò la grandissima collezione artistica di proprietà della famiglia. Infine,

domenica 29 dalle 10 alle 12, al Museo Nazionale del Bargello si potrà assistere all’azione scenica “All’ombra del potere”, di Riccardo Ventrella con la regia di Sabrina Tinalli, che vedrà gli attori della Compagnia delle Seggiole ripercorrere la storia, gli aneddoti e i segreti del palazzo del Bargello.

Bargello Museums: the initiatives of the European Heritage Days 2024

On the occasion of the European Heritage Days 2024, promoted by the Ministry of Culture and scheduled for 28 and 29 September, the Bargello Museums present a rich program of events related to “Heritage on the move”, connecting to the slogan “Routes, Networks and Connections”, chosen by the Council of Europe and shared by the countries participating in the event.

The Bargello National Museum, the Palazzo Davanzati Museum, the Medici Chapels, the Orsanmichele Museum and the Casa Martelli Museum propose a series of initiatives aimed at rediscovering cultural heritage through thematic visits, conferences, workshops for children and young people and shows.

On Saturday 28th at 7:15 pm, the conference entitled “At the twilight of the Empire: The late antique consulate and the aristocracies of ivories” is scheduled, which will be held in the Sala del Verrocchio of the Bargello National Museum. Visitors to the museum – which for the occasion will be open from 8:15 am to 10 pm – will be able to attend the conference by Giovanni Alberto Cecconi, professor of Roman History at the University of Florence. The professor’s report will focus on the office of the consulate in late antiquity, with references to celebratory gifts (ivory diptychs), in the context of the cultural and religious transformations of the late empire. Two sideline interventions by Valeria d’Aquino and Ilaria Ciseri, officials of the Bargello Museums, are also scheduled, on the oldest nucleus of the Museum’s ivory tablets.

The event is free for visitors with an entrance ticket to the museum, which, on the occasion of the GEP 2024 will be open during extended hours, from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, at the symbolic cost of 1 euro. In the program of the European Heritage Days 2024, the Bargello Museums also offer thematic visits and workshops in the other museums of the group. On Saturday 28 September, at the Orsanmichele Museum, two guided tours entitled “From Orsanmichele to Santiago de Compostela: the figure of Saint James the Greater between art and faith” are scheduled, at 10:30 am and 4:00 pm. The itinerary of the visit, inspired by the theme of the pilgrimage of Saint James, will take place through real artistic stops that will allow visitors to admire the extraordinary masterpieces preserved in the church and in the museum: from the marble relief depicting the apostle, which is located on the back of the precious tabernacle created by Orcagna, to the marble sculpture by Niccolò di Pietro Lamberti (around 1420), which depicts the patron saint of the Florentine Art of Vaiai and Pellicciai, today set up in the museum on the first floor and once located in one of the external niches (free guided tours and without reservation for all holders of an entrance ticket to the museum).

Also on Saturday 28 September, at the Palazzo Davanzati Museum (which will remain open with extended hours from 1:15 pm to 10:00 pm and, starting from 7:00 pm, visitors will have the opportunity to access the symbolic price of 1 euro), the guided tour “From the Vestment to the Dress: how to dress through the centuries” will be held, which will take visitors on a journey through the changes in fashion from the Middle Ages to the 19th century, illustrating the evolution of the needs of a constantly changing society in the clothes worn by the protagonists of the museum’s works. The visits, scheduled for 3:15 pm and 5:15 pm, will offer a reflection on the economic and cultural influences that have transformed customs and society over the centuries (guided tours are free and without reservation for all museum entrance ticket holders).

Open doors also for the Casa Martelli Museum, which on the 28th, like every Saturday, will be accessible free of charge with guided tours at 9, 10, 11 and 12.

On Sunday, September 29th (at 10 and 11:15), the Cappelle Medicee will also welcome children and teenagers aged 9 to 12 for the educational workshop “Traveling with semi-precious stones”, an adventure to discover the rare semi-precious stones that decorate the Cappella dei Principi and that come from Europe, the Mediterranean basin, North Africa and the Near East, allowing them to also explore the history of a refined and sumptuous decorative technique that has made Florence famous throughout the world, from the seventeenth century to today. Through games and interactive activities, the young participants will explore the origin and use of these stones, delving into the theme of environmental sustainability. The workshop is free, but reservations are required by September 27 (at mn-bar.didattica@cultura.gov.it), and companions must have an entrance ticket.

It is also recalled that on the occasion of the GEP 2024 some of the events of “Theater and music to travel through time” will be staged, the program of events organized by the Bargello Museums with the support of the Directorate General of Entertainment of the Ministry of Culture which until October will see the Compagnia delle seggiole and the Orchestra da Camera Fiorentina perform in a series of plays and concerts accessible free of charge to visitors.

On September 28 at 8 pm, at the Palazzo Davanzati Museum, the Ixia Quartet will present “Viaggio intorno a Puccini” while, also on Saturday 28, from 4 pm to 6 pm, the Cappelle Medicee will welcome a great protagonist of the Medici family, with the Incontro (im)possibile with Anna Maria Luisa de’ Medici Electress Palatine, last heir of the Medici house, who will tell visitors the story of her will, thanks to which the Tuscan state inherited the enormous art collection owned by the family.
