In occasione del Santo Natale, nelle giornate del 10, del 17 e del 23 dicembre, i Musei Vaticani propongono un’eccezionale visita guidata alla scoperta del Presepe nell’Arte.

Si tratta di un viaggio nello spazio e nel tempo pensato per adulti e famiglie con bambini dai 6 anni in su attraverso le preziose collezioni vaticane per ammirare e conoscere quelli che papa Francesco ha l’abitudine di chiamare “piccoli capolavori di bellezza”.

La visita avrà inizio con il primo presepe paleocristiano in mostra nel Museo Pio Cristiano per proseguire poi nella Pinacoteca Vaticana fra i capolavori che raccontano il miracolo del Natale per arrivare infine nella Cappella Sistina e apprezzare la natività in stile napoletano che da diversi anni a questa parte viene allestita dagli artisti Giuseppe Passeri ed Eva Antulov.

Ogni anno il presepe della Cappella Sistina ha un diverso filo conduttore. Lo scorso anno per esempio era stato ispirato dalle opere di Raffaello ( ve ne ho parlato QUA).

Christmas at the Vatican Museums

On the occasion of Holy Christmas, on 10, 17 and 23 December, the Vatican Museums offer an exceptional guided tour to discover the Crib in Art.

The visit will begin with the first early Christian nativity scene on display in the Pio Cristiano Museum and then continue in the Vatican Pinacoteca among the masterpieces that tell the story of the Christmas miracle to finally arrive in the Sistine Chapel and appreciate the Neapolitan-style nativity that for several years now it is set up by the artists Giuseppe Passeri and Eva Antulov.

Every year the nativity scene in the Sistine Chapel has a different leitmotiv. Last year, for example, he was inspired by the works of Raphael (I told you about it HERE).
