A soli sei mesi di distanza dall’ultimo imponente intervento di restauro, la Fontana di Trevi rimarrà ancora una volta senz’acqua e chiusa al pubblico.

L’opera verrà sottoposta a un nuovo controllo per verificare la totale impermeabilizzazione della vasca. Lo stop al flusso dell’acqua è stato effettuato ieri 4 giugno e i lavori proseguiranno fino al 6 giugno compreso.

Stando a quanto riportato dalla Sovrintendenza, questo nuovo controllo servirà per verificare lo stato generale conservativo dell’intera fontana e per monitorare l’impermeabilizzazione di alcune zone della vasca.

Come accennato prima, l’ultimo intervento di restauro condotto dalla Sovrintendenza Capitolina nell’ambito del programma PNRR – Caput Mundi, è stato portato a termine nel dicembre 2024.

Si tenterà dunque di capire se quell’intervento sia andato a buon fine oppure, a distanza di così poco tempo, presenti già delle problematiche da risolvere.

Chiusa e recintata per tre giorni, la Fontana di Trevi verrà riempita sabato 7 giugno e resa fruibile ai visitatori con le nuove modalità di accesso contingentate già avviate a partire dal 22 dicembre 2024.

Son vecchio lo so, anzi, vecchissimo.

Possibile che a soli sei mesi dal restauro si sia reso necessario effettuare la ‘verifica dello stato conservativo generale della fontana e dell’impermeabilizzazione di alcuni settori della vasca’?

Un controllo simile necessariamente richiede un dispiego non indifferente di professionisti e un impegno di risorse non trascurabile. Mi viene da pensare a che forse qualcosa non è andato nel modo sperato.

L’intervento precedente è durato circa tre mesi, da ottobre al 22 dicembre 2024, ed è costato 327mila euro.

Non è che ci sia stata troppa fretta nel voler riaprire a tutti i costi la Fontana di Trevi in vista dell’imminente inizio del Giubileo avvenuto due giorni dopo durante la Vigilia di Natale e adesso si è costretti a intervenire di nuovo sulla grande opera?

Trevi Fountain: closed again six months after the end of the restoration

Just six months after the last major restoration work, the Trevi Fountain will once again be without water and closed to the public.

The work will undergo a new check to verify the total waterproofing of the basin. The stop to the flow of water was carried out yesterday, June 4, and the work will continue until June 6 inclusive.

According to what was reported by the Superintendency, this new check will serve to verify the general state of conservation of the entire fountain and to monitor the waterproofing of some areas of the basin.

As mentioned above, the last restoration work conducted by the Capitoline Superintendency as part of the PNRR – Caput Mundi program was completed in December 2024.

We will therefore try to understand whether that work was successful or whether, after such a short time, there are already problems to be solved.

Closed and fenced for three days, the Trevi Fountain will be filled on Saturday 7 June and made accessible to visitors with the new limited access methods already started from 22 December 2024.

I am old I know, in fact, very old. Is it possible that only six months after the restoration it was necessary to carry out the ‘verification of the general state of conservation of the fountain and the waterproofing of some areas of the basin’?
