A partire da domani 21 dicembre, il Corridoio Vasariano, dopo otto anni di chiusura, riapre finalmente al pubblico ma completamente svuotato.

La passeggiata sopraelevata panoramica nel cuore di Firenze potrà essere percorsa accedendo dall’apposito ingresso ubicato al primo piano dalla Galleria delle Statue e delle Pitture che condurrà verso Ponte Vecchio, per raggiungere infine il Giardino di Boboli.

Spogliato da lungi dalla serie di autoritratti, è divenuto semplice corridoio da attraversare che consente di vedere Firenze dall’alto.

Il progetto di consolidamento e recupero per la riapertura del Corridoio Vasariano è stato realizzato da Uffizi e Soprintendenza e presentato nel febbraio 2019 dopo 18 mesi di studi, ricerche e indagini che hanno coinvolto decine di specialisti.

I lavori costati circa 10 milioni di euro, ai quali vanno aggiunto un milione di dollari donato nel 2023 dall’imprenditore statunitense Skip Avansino, sono partiti nel 2022, terminando nelle scorse settimane. L’ultimo restauro del Vasariano risaliva agli anni Novanta.

I lavori di adeguamento hanno consentito di renderle il Corridoio Vasariano accessibile ai disabili mediante sistema integrato di rampe, pedane ed ascensori.

Tra gli interventi principali previsti dal progetto è stata messa in essere la realizzazione di nuove uscite di sicurezza.

Prenotare la visita del Corridoio Vasariano

Al Corridoio Vasariano si accede acquistando il biglietto della Galleria degli Uffizi con un supplemento speciale, al prezzo complessivo di 43 euro.

E’ obbligatoria la prenotazione. Il biglietto Uffizi-Vasariano permette a coloro che fissano la visita al Corridoio di entrare due ore prima agli Uffizi per visitare il museo.

Al Vasariano si accede dal martedì alla domenica, all’orario prenotato, un gruppo alla volta, per un massimo 25 persone, dallo spazio antistante la Cappellina Veneziana (sale verdi della pittura veneta) al primo piano della galleria.

Il primo gruppo della giornata potrà visitare il Corridoio alle ore 10,15, l’ultimo alle 16,35. Il Corridoio è percorribile solo in direzione Uffizi-Giardino di Boboli: si uscirà dalla porta di fianco alla Grotta Buontalenti, per essere accompagnati all’uscita dal cortile di Palazzo Pitti.

Non sarà possibile prenotare più di 5 ticket per volta, anche per date diverse. Sul biglietto ci sarà un link di collegamento alla mappa con il percorso per raggiungere il varco di accesso al Corridoio; un QR code per visualizzarla è stato incluso anche nella cartellonistica predisposta in Galleria.

The Vasari Corridor reopens: here’s how to book

The consolidation and recovery project for the reopening of the Vasari Corridor was carried out by the Uffizi and the Superintendence and presented in February 2019 after 18 months of studies, research and investigations that involved dozens of specialists. The works, for approximately 10 million euros – to which must be added a million dollars donated in 2023 by the American entrepreneur Skip Avansino – began in 2022, ending in recent weeks. The last restoration of the Vasari Corridor dates back to the 1990s.

The adaptation works have made the Vasari Corridor accessible to the disabled through an integrated system of ramps, platforms and elevators.

Among the main interventions envisaged by the project, the creation of new emergency exits has been implemented.

Booking a visit to the Vasari Corridor

The Vasari Corridor can be accessed by purchasing the ticket for the Uffizi Gallery with a special supplement, at a total price of 43 euros.

Reservations are required. The Uffizi-Vasari ticket allows those who book a visit to the Corridor to enter the Uffizi two hours earlier to visit the museum.
