E’ stato rubato il dipinto ottocentesco noto con il nome di Effetto Neve realizzato da Giacomo di Chirico dalla sede del Museo Nazionale di Matera di Palazzo Lanfranchi.

Il fatto risale a qualche giorno fa ma la notizia è stata resa nota solo adesso.

Il neo ministro della Cultura, Gennaro Sangiuliano, appena appresa la notizia ha inviato la segnalazione al comandante dei carabinieri del comando per la tutela del patrimonio culturale.

Sono in corso indagini dei carabinieri della compagnia di Matera e del Nucleo tutela patrimonio Culturale di Bari per chiarire le dinamiche dell’accaduto.

Il dipinto in questione è un olio su tavola di 31×17 centimetri ed è una delle opere più rappresentative dell’ultima produzione di Di Chirico. Proprio per studiare gli effetti cromatici della neve, l’artista contrarrà quella malattia reumatica che gli sarà poi fatale.

In questa opera dalle atmosfere quasi notturne, citando Della Rocca passa “dal più nitido bianco al tono melmoso del fango”.

The nineteenth-century painting known as the Snow Effect by Giacomo di Chirico was stolen from the seat of the National Museum of Matera in Palazzo Lanfranchi.
