Giovan Francesco Fattucci era il cappellano del duomo di Santa Maria del Fiore ma fu anche uno dei miei più cari amici. Fin dal momento in cui ero impegnato a lavorare al progetto della Sagrestia Nuova, si occupò di aiutarmi a risolvere problemi burocratici e a disbrigare pratiche che mi facevano perdere solo tempo.

Curava i miei rapporti burrascosi con gli eredi di papa Giulio II per la questione della sua tomba ancora non conclusa.

Divenne ufficialmente il mio procuratore a partire dall’estate del 1525 anche se in realtà aveva cominciato qualche anno prima a darmi una mano.

Tanto mi fidavo di lui che ero sicuro che avrebbe portato a termine nel migliore dei modi possibili anche compiti marginali pur di farmi lavorare senza dover pensare alle cose della vita quotidiana. Se dovevo contattare un sarto o controllare i pantaloni che gli avevo commissionato tempo prima, era lui che se ne faceva carico.

Sempre il Fattucci gestiva i raccolti dei poderi che avevo e i rapporti con i contadini che li curavano e coltivavano giorno dopo giorno.

Insomma, nel corso degli anni divenne un po’ il mio factotum che si prendeva cura sia dei rapporti con alcuni committenti che delle cose di casa. Per il momento il vostro Michelangelo Buonarroti vi saluta dandovi appuntamento ai prossimi post e sui social.
