A Venezia, a Ca’ Rezzonico Museo del Settecento Veneziano, sta per aprire i battenti un’interessante esposizione che mette al centro della scena il preziosissimo Album Cicognara.

La mostra “Gusto Neoclassico” è centrata sull’Album Cicognara, un’importante raccolta di opere grafiche che rappresentano il periodo neoclassico in Italia e sono conservate presso la Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia.

Questo album è dedicato al conte Leopoldo Cicognara, un illustre intellettuale, storico dell’arte e politico che ha lasciato un’impronta significativa nella scena culturale veneziana del suo tempo.

L’Album è costituito da 81 fogli di disegni che danno prova della straordinaria maestria di alcuni dei più celebri artisti dell’epoca, come Vincenzo Camuccini, Andrea Appiani, Giuseppe Bossi e Antonio Canova.

Tali opere non solo mostrano la varietà delle tecniche grafiche utilizzate, ma riflettono anche l’evoluzione del gusto estetico e l’interesse dell’epoca per la classicità. Ciascun foglio racconta una storia, permettendo agli spettatori di immergersi in un periodo di grande fervore artistico e intellettuale.

An exciting exhibition is about to open at Ca’ Rezzonico, the Museum of 18th-Century Venice, showcasing the priceless Cicognara Album.

The “Neoclassical Taste” exhibition focuses on the Cicognara Album, an important collection of graphic works representing the Neoclassical period in Italy, housed at the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia.

This album is dedicated to Count Leopoldo Cicognara, a distinguished intellectual, art historian, and politician who left a significant mark on the Venetian cultural scene of his time.
