Venezia durante il periodo Natalizio offre ai cittadini e ai turisti musei e mostre aperte con orari prolungati e accessibili anche durante le giornate del 25 e 26 dicembre e il 1° gennaio 2025.

Un’occasione in più per trascorrere più tempo nei luoghi d’arte e scoprire o riscoprire il patrimonio culturale della città, le collezioni e le mostre temporanee, anche in orario serale

“Durante le Feste daremo nuovamente la possibilità di visitare i nostri musei, un patrimonio unico al mondo, aprendoli il più possibile: anche a Natale, a Capodanno, alcune giornate di chiusura settimanale, prolungando l’orario di visita nei weekend – spiegano il Sindaco Luigi Brugnaro e la Presidente di Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia Mariacristina Gribaudi – per dare a tutti l’occasione vivere la cultura e l’arte della città più bella del mondo“.

Aperture serali: Dal 20 dicembre e fino al 6 gennaio, ogni venerdì e sabato Palazzo Ducale e Museo Correr saranno aperti fino alle ore 21.00 (ultimo ingresso ore 20.00).

Aperture straordinarie: Aperto tutti i giorni il Museo del Vetro a Murano con la mostra dedicata a La donazione Carlo e Giovanni Moretti 1958-2013, in programma dal 6 dicembre 2024 al  30 giugno 2025. 

Lunedì 23, 30 dicembre e 6 gennaio saranno visitabili le mostre Matisse e la luce del Mediterraneo al Centro Culturale Candiani di Mestre (fino al 4 marzo 2025) Roberto Matta 1911 – 2002 (23 marzo 2025) e Scultura lingua morta di Giorgio Andreotta Calò (fino al 4 marzo 2025) al secondo piano di Ca’ Pesaro, Galleria Internazionale d’Arte Moderna, la prima parte del progetto di valorizzazione su la Donazione Elda Cecchele al Museo di Palazzo Mocenigo (fino al 2 marzo 2025) e Fragile Stories, con opere di Mandy Bonnell e Déirdre Kelly al Museo del Merletto a Burano, oltre al Museo di Storia Naturale “Giancarlo Ligabue” che il giorno 1° gennaio aprirà alle ore 10.00.

Aperti eccezionalmente di martedì, il 24 e 31 dicembre Ca’ Rezzonico – Museo del Settecento veneziano con la preziosa mostra dedicata a Una passione discreta – La Collezione Paolo Galli (fino al 20 gennaio) e il progetto LORIS CECCHINI. Leaps, gaps and overlapping diagrams (fino al 31 marzo), insieme al Museo Fortuny con Selva di Eva Jospin, prorogata fino al 13 gennaio.

Il museo di Casa Goldoni, invece, rispetterà il giorno di chiusura settimanale il giorno 25 dicembre e 1°gennaio.

In programma domenica 15 dicembre l’ultimo appuntamento dell’anno di Musei in Festa, con ingresso gratuito nei Musei Civici di Venezia per i residenti dei 44 Comuni della Città Metropolitana e di Mogliano Veneto.

Christmas in Venice in the name of culture

During the Christmas period, Venice offers citizens and tourists museums and exhibitions open with extended hours and accessible also during the days of December 25 and 26 and January 1, 2025.

An extra opportunity to spend more time in places of art and discover or rediscover the cultural heritage of the city, the collections and temporary exhibitions, even in the evening

“During the holidays we will once again give the opportunity to visit our museums, a unique heritage in the world, opening them as much as possible: even at Christmas, on New Year’s Eve, some days of weekly closure, extending the visiting hours on weekends – explain the Mayor Luigi Brugnaro and the President of the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia Mariacristina Gribaudi – to give everyone the opportunity to experience the culture and art of the most beautiful city in the world“.

Evening openings: From December 20th to January 6th, every Friday and Saturday Palazzo Ducale and Museo Correr will be open until 9:00 pm (last admission 8:00 pm).

Special openings: The Glass Museum in Murano is open every day with the exhibition dedicated to The Carlo and Giovanni Moretti Donation 1958-2013, scheduled from 6 December 2024 to 30 June 2025.

On Monday 23, 30 December and 6 January, the exhibitions Matisse and the light of the Mediterranean will be open to visitors at the Candiani Cultural Centre in Mestre (until 4 March 2025), Roberto Matta 1911 – 2002 (23 March 2025) and Scultura lingua morta by Giorgio Andreotta Calò (until 4 March 2025) on the second floor of Ca’ Pesaro, Galleria Internazionale d’Arte Moderna, the first part of the valorisation project on the Elda Cecchele Donation at the Palazzo Mocenigo Museum (until 2 March 2025) and Fragile Stories, with works by Mandy Bonnell and Déirdre Kelly at the Lace Museum in Burano, in addition to the Natural History Museum “Giancarlo Ligabue” which will open at 10:00 on January 1st.

Exceptionally open on Tuesdays, December 24th and 31st are Ca’ Rezzonico – Museum of Eighteenth-century Venice with the precious exhibition dedicated to Una passione subacquea – La Collezione Paolo Galli (until January 20th) and the project LORIS CECCHINI. Leaps, gaps and overlapping diagrams (until March 31st), together with the Fortuny Museum with Selva by Eva Jospin, extended until January 13th.

The Casa Goldoni museum, on the other hand, will respect the weekly closing day on December 25th and January 1st.

The last event of the year of Musei in Festa is scheduled for Sunday December 15th, with free admission to the Civic Museums of Venice for residents of the 44 Municipalities of the Metropolitan City and Mogliano Veneto.
