Esposizione di Yoshitaka Amano a Milano: un poetico viaggio visivo
Il sensei Yoshitaka Amano che ha saputo crearsi uno spazio all’interno nell’arte contemporanea, ha presenta a Lucca Comics & Games 2024 la prima mostra europea a lui dedicata.
L’esposizione ha consentito ai visitatori di vedere a distanza ravvicinata alcune sue opere come le tre locandine disegnate in esclusiva proprio per l’evento lucchese, con un chiaro riferimento al maestro Puccini nel centenario dalla sua morte.
A breve però aprirà la nuova grande esposizione con le sue opere alla Fabbrica del Vapore a Milano.
Sarà la più grande esposizione occidentale ufficiale allestita per celebrare i 50 anni di attività del sensei di Shizuoka con oltre 130 opere originali provenienti dai suoi studi di Tokyo.
Da Tatsunoko a Final Fantasy, passando da Vogue: sarà un percorso all’insegna della narrazione della sua carriera attraverso le sue opere.
L’allestimento che si preannuncia essere scenografico. Sarà suddiviso in quattro sezioni e verrà arricchito da da oggetti e filmati per raccontare a tutto tondo le tecniche usate da Oshitaka Amano, le sue visioni e le forme iconiche che ha saputo creare nel corso dei suoi cinquant’anni di carriera.
Creatore di mitologie contemporanee, le opere di Amano si possono ritrovare all’interno di un fumetto manga o dentro un cartone animato, nei libri illustrati ma non solo. I suoi disegni sono esposti nelle più importanti gallerie del mondo.
Il confine tra realtà e fantasia nei lavori di Yoshitaka Amano è sempre labile: le creature mitologiche si confondono con le figure femminili eteree e paesaggi fantastici che non mancano mai nella sua produzione.
Le locandine disegnate per Lucca Comics & Games 2024
Le tre locandine di Comics & Games 2024 svelate in step successivi sono tre opere che Amano ha realizzato in esclusiva per l’evento.
La prima, chiamata primo atto e intitolata “Overture” è dedicata a Tosca.
Il secondo atto “Crescendo”, in onore della sinfonia di voci, ospiti, eventi che saranno al cuore della fiera, con il manifesto intitolato Madama Butterfly.
Per il terzo atto, “Un finale fantastico”, con un disegno che rievoca le atmosfere della Tosca.
Amano Corpus Anime
Dal 13 novembre 2024 al 1 marzo 2025, “Amano Corpus Animae” sarà la prima retrospettiva per celebrare i 50 anni di carriera del visionario Maestro.
La mostra più grande e completa che sia mai stata dedicata all’artista nipponico in Occidente.
Curata per Lucca Comics & Games da Fabio Viola, con progetto di allestimento e percorso dell’exhibition realizzati in collaborazione con POLI.design di Milano.

Yoshitaka Amano Exhibition in Milan: a fantastic visual journey
Sensei Yoshitaka Amano, who has managed to create a space for himself within contemporary art, has presented the first European exhibition dedicated to him at Lucca Comics & Games 2024.
The exhibition allowed visitors to see some of his works up close, such as the three posters designed exclusively for the Lucca event, with a clear reference to maestro Puccini on the centenary of his death.
However, the new large exhibition with his works will soon open at the Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan.
It will be the largest official Western exhibition set up to celebrate the 50 years of activity of the Shizuoka sensei with over 130 original works from his studios in Tokyo.
From Tatsunoko to Final Fantasy, passing through Vogue: it will be a journey dedicated to the narration of his career through his works.
The installation promises to be spectacular. will be divided into four sections and will be enriched by objects and films to fully tell the techniques used by Oshitaka Amano, his visions and the iconic forms he has been able to create over the course of his fifty-year career.
Creator of contemporary mythologies, Amano’s works can be found in manga comics or cartoons, in illustrated books and beyond. His drawings are exhibited in the most important galleries in the world.
The boundary between reality and fantasy in Oshitaka Amano’s works is always blurred: mythological creatures blend with ethereal female figures and fantastic landscapes that are never missing in his production.
The posters designed for Lucca Comics & Games 2024
The three posters for Comics & Games 2024 revealed in successive steps are three works that Amano has created exclusively for the event.
The first, called first act and entitled “Overture” is dedicated to Tosca.
The second act is entitled “Crescendo” in honor of the symphony of voices, guests, events that will be at the heart of the fair, with the poster entitled Madama Butterfly. For the third act, “A fantastic finale”, with a drawing that evokes the atmospheres of Tosca.
