“Michelangelo e il Polvaccio”: vi aspetto il 30 luglio a Torano Notte e Giorno
Ho il piacere di comunicarvi che il 30 luglio 2022 sarò ospite ai Salotti di Torano Notte e Giorno, a partire dalle ore 19:00 per parlarvi di me e delle cave del Polvaccio.
Quali opere realizzai con i marmi estratti nel bacino di Torano? Quando arrivai al Polvaccio per la prima volta e successivamente quante volte ci tornai?
Vi aspetto per parlarvi di tutto questo e molto altro ancora nel contesto della 24esima edizione della rassegna Torano Notte e Giorno organizzata dalla grande Emma Casté, che avrà luogo nell’omonimo paese di cavatori in provincia di Massa-Carrara.
La rassegna Torano Notte e Giorno avrà inizio il 28 luglio e proseguirà fino al 13 agosto. Il filo conduttore delle opere che gli artisti proporranno alla manifestazione è il pizzo che i partecipanti dovranno riprodurre in marmo o con altri materiali ispirandosi liberamente alla superba opera dello scultore di Carrara: Maria Barberini Dugioli di Giuliano Finelli.
Non perdete l’occasione di partecipare a questo importante evento. Io vi aspetto sabato 30 alle ore 19:00 per parlarvi di me e del rapporto che ho avuto nel corso della vita con le cave del Polvaccio. Vi aspetto.

I am pleased to inform you that on July 30, 2022 I will be a guest at the Salotti di Torano Notte e Giorno, starting at 19:00 to tell you about me and the Polvaccio quarries.
What works did I make with the marbles extracted in the Torano basin? When did I get to the Calvaccio for the first time and how many times did I go back to it afterwards?
I am waiting for you to talk to you about all this and much more in the context of the 24th edition of the Torano Notte e Giorno review organized by the great Emma Casté, which will take place in the homonymous town of quarrymen in the province of Massa-Carrara.
The Torano Notte e Giorno review will start on July 28th and will continue until August 13th. The leitmotif of the works that the artists will propose at the event is the lace that participants will have to reproduce in marble or other materials, freely inspired by the superb work of the sculptor from Carrara: Maria Barberini Dugioli by Giuliano Finelli.
