Clamoroso furto di opere d’arte dal valore complessivo di un milione di euro al Vittoriale degli italiani a Gardone Riviera, in provincia di Brescia.

Sono sparite nel nulla tutte le 50 opere della mostra temporanea dell’artista Umberto Mastroianni che era stata inaugurata il 30 dicembre 2023 e che avrebbe dovuto chiudere oggi.

A scoprire l’incredibile furto sono stati i responsabili del Vittoriale quando hanno aperto le porte della mostra nella mattinata del 7 marzo 2024.

Scomparsi così i 30 gioielli e le 20 sculture del percorso espositivo ‘Come un oro caldo e fluido. Gli ori di Umberto Mastroianni’, esposizione è curata da Alberto Dambruoso su progetto del Cigno GG Edizioni Roma.

L’artista era zio del celebre attore Marcello Mastroianni e al Vittoriale erano esposti gioielli, ciondoli, spille, bracciali lastre e sculture che realizzò fra gli anni Cinquanta e Novanta adoperando la tecnica della fusione a cera persa.

Al momento sono in corso le indagini dopo i rilievi effettuati dai Carabinieri di Salò e Brescia, affiancati dai militari del nucleo tutela patrimonio culturale.

Sensational theft at the Vittoriale: all 50 golden works from Mastroianni’s exhibition disappeared into thin air

Sensational theft of works of art with a total value of one million euros from the Vittoriale degli Italiani in Gardone Riviera, in the province of Brescia.

All 50 works of the temporary exhibition by artist Umberto Mastroianni which was inaugurated on 30 December 2023 and which should have closed today have disappeared into thin air.

The managers of the Vittoriale discovered the incredible theft when they opened the doors of the exhibition on the morning of March 7, 2024.

Thus the 30 jewels and 20 sculptures of the exhibition itinerary ‘Like a warm and fluid gold’ disappeared. The golds of Umberto Mastroianni’, exhibition is curated by Alberto Dambruoso based on a project by Cigno GG Edizioni Roma.

The artist was the uncle of the famous actor Marcello Mastroianni and at the Vittoriale there were jewels, pendants, brooches, bracelets, plates and sculptures that he created between the 1950s and 1990s using the lost wax casting technique.

Investigations are currently underway following the findings carried out by the Carabinieri of Salò and Brescia, supported by the military of the cultural heritage protection unit.
