È sparita nel nulla una scultura del valore di 20 mila euro di Ligabue durante l’ultimo giorno di apertura della mostra ‘Ligabue. I misteri di una mente‘, allestita al Museo Storico della Fanteria, a Roma.

L’opera appartenente a una delle serie dei cani è scomparsa domenica 12 gennaio, attorno alle ore 19 e sull’accaduto al momento stanno indagando i Carabinieri.

La piccola fusione in bronzo non era protetta da teche e nella sala non erano presenti nemmeno le telecamere di sorveglianza.

Stando a quanto riportato nella ricostruzione dei fatti riportata dal Messaggero, il ladro ha aspettato l’ultima ora di apertura nell’ultimo giorno della mostra per effettuare il furto.

Gli investigatori stanno vagliando fotogrammi registrati dagli impianti di sorveglianza esterni e sono stati ascoltati i visitatori che per primi hanno notato la mancanza del cane in bronzo della serie esposta.

Curata da Micol Di Veroli e Dominique Lora, la mostra presentava 74 opere datate tra la fine degli anni Venti e i primi anni Sessanta del Novecento, provenienti da tre collezioni private di Reggio Emilia, di Parma e di Roma. 

Nel dettaglio, erano presenti 32 sculture bronzee raffiguranti una eterogenea rappresentanza di animali, tra i quali cani, caprioli, capre, cerbiatti babbuini, leoni e pantere. A sparire nel nulla è stato proprio uno dei cani.

Breaking News: Ligabue Bronze Sculpture Stolen

A €20,000 sculpture by Ligabue has vanished into thin air during the last day of the exhibition ?Ligabue. The Mysteries of a Mind‘ at the Museo Storico della Fanteria in Rome.

The work belonging to one of the dog series disappeared on Sunday, January 12, around 7:00 p.m. and the Carabinieri are currently investigating the incident.

The small bronze casting was not protected by display cases and there were no cameras in the room.

According to the reconstruction of the facts reported by Il Messaggero, the thief waited until the last hour of opening on the last day of the exhibition to carry out the theft.

Investigators are examining frames recorded by external surveillance systems and the visitors who first noticed the absence of the bronze dog from the exhibited series have been interviewed.

Curated by Micol Di Veroli and Dominique Lora, the exhibition featured 74 works dating from the late 1920s to the early 1960s, from three private collections in Reggio Emilia, Parma and Rome.

In detail, there were 32 bronze sculptures depicting a heterogeneous representation of animals, including dogs, roe deer, goats, fawns, baboons, lions and panthers. One of the dogs disappeared into thin air.
